Some kind of progress.. Some of the landships original crew has now been painted.. But they will not be used with the landship so no real progress I'm afraid..

To be used with my averland warband for mordheim..

The landship will be crewed by the pirates of the oblast...

    I own two 40k models. Both has been converted for fantasy. The first one you already saw in kyrinov. The second is this;

Wonderful witch hunter. Fixed long ago for mordheim but now he has entered the army as well until I fix a proper Kislev style wh. Ideas/advice appreciated.. it was not as easy as with kyrinov to make him fantasy but easy enough.. the backpack presented the biggest problem but nothing that determination couldn't fix..

Nice conversion on the witch hunter; I like yours much better than the"official" model.

Those landship crew minatures are amazing, great paintjob on them too. Would love to see a whole army of those.
Nice conversion job on the witchhunter as well, I think I'll have to get that model for my upcoming mordheim warband.

They are indead amazing models.. But they'd be a bitch to rank n file... I'm happy with the clothes and stuff but I'll revisit the skin tone I think. Came out a little bit to flat..

I think I saw the witch hunter available in fc now. That'll make it som much easier to carve.. Good luck with it and please do show the finished work

    Regards
    Rob

Really great job on those handgunners/crewmen. I like the gritty look. My ow yellow and blue empire look especially cartoonish compared to yours! Each his own style I suppose. Splendid conversion on the Witch Hunter too. Cheers!
Feel free to check out my fantasy plog containing Blood Bowl, Empire, Skaven and lots more!

    Hi there!

As much as I like the gritty look, I sometimes wish that I could paint a little brighter like you (nice pics on your plog..). trying to get there with brighter colours, but old habits..

The gritty look has it's ups and downs. It can look splendid when you look on one model but as a regiment they might get to dark. There's a fine line and it isn't easy to see before you crossed it. A lot of my old models suffer from this. But they're in the pipeline..

    regards
    Rob

As I previously mentioned I have a lot that needs to be revisited, especially from O&G. This is one of those..

I built the model as a wheelo to mordheim but it plays as a pump wagon as well, just have to add a bigger base for when I do.

So how do I lighten up the wood part?

    Giants!

Well... One has to remember that if your horizon is at a knee level of everyone else, then everyone is a giant..

Both the giants are actual giants, made by gw but for warmaster..

My first ever scratch, still a lot left to do though...

one can never have enough squigs...

As promised.. The wee free snots...

You'll notice that there's a large empty base in the first picture. I just got my colossal squig I'm going to play it as an arachnarok.. Had a game in yesterday where I just had to try both of them out at the same time.. 3000p against high elves. HE won by 260p. 2 arachnaroks against two dragons.. Epic!

It isn't progressing quite as fast as I'd like but here it is.. A landship for the wast ocean of the oblast..

Going for oak and rusty old metal. The rear wheel is pretty much the finished product..

Well now its all wooden at least.. Only the rest to go! I really love this model.. All the time it took to assemble due to heavy warping was so worth it..

Thanks mate! It's definitely the lighting, I'm not the best when it comes to using light. I even paint in the dark... Well sort of in the dark.. When my wife comes home she usually turn on a couple of lights for me, nags for a short while that I have to take care of my eyes..

Apart from that, the second pic also received two more layers of paint. Heavily drybrushing with charadon granite / graveyard earth / kommando khaki gives a rather pleasant oak like colour..
