Re: Vampire Counts 2000 points
I would personaly drop the grave guard for more Bodys for both your Knight units as they will be fast enough to take on his units with only 1 or 2 shooting phases having to be weathered. Also your Vamp will be able to be targeted after only 1 black knight is killed.

Re: Vampire Counts 2000 points
drop the full command on the blood knights, take 5 or 4 without command, you have tied up points for no real bonus. Blood knights can generate enough kills on the right target* to either blow throw it or win via combat res. Invest said points in more black knights and a 4+ ward save for your lord.... he will aready have a large shoot me sign on his head soooo logic says to give him more protectiness.
I agree with the above... a unit of 5 black knights its to small for a vamp delivery system, and 15 is way to small a unit for GG they will simply yield easy victory points. Up the black knight numbers to 9+ your lord and what ever points are left... RED FURY!!!! if your plan is to get yyour lord into CC as quick as possible the red fury is a must, take a shield and if you can take a sword that gives you extra attacks. Potion of strength can be very handy against empire as that tank can be a damn pain to remove.
*note: The right target, throwing them at hordes of state troopers is not the right target... use there speed to counter enemy knights and force your opponent to wheel his units to protect his flanks the army, then you can throw them at the flanks of his state regiments and the combat res generated by the kills, flank etc will be glorious.
BTW watch out for witch hunters... my vamp lord was shot dead last night by one in turn 2... use scenery to protect him.

Re: Vampire Counts 2000 points
Everything they said (especially about dropping the GG in favor of more knights, and also especially about red fury). In addition:
15 ghouls is too small to do anything, really. Either buff them up or drop them.
Split the wolves up. Ten can't do anything that five can't.
Actually, get more wolves. Give him more targets than he knows what to do with. Plus, more drops will allow you to place your knights away from his most dangerous war machines.
I would drop the cart. Not being able to march, it cannot keep up with your knights. Your infantry will be slow without the vampire's aura, but your infantry doesn't need the buffs the cart provides.

Re: Vampire Counts 2000 points
Dropping the cart will give you a heap of points to buff your vamp lord, if nearing your points limit for lords, drop the level 2 i really hate using my vampire lord for anything other than 1 dice invoc if i can, rolling to many dice is jyst to risky as all vc players know...

Re: Vampire Counts 2000 points
Try get a level 2 necro or 2, you will need the ability to heal wounds and raise units.

Re: Vampire Counts 2000 points
Master strike sucks, get Red Fury and Quickblood!
