Okay, the guy at the base of the Chaos Lord holding the guys head in his hand, I'm trying to work out what he would be? First thought that comes to mind is he looks alot like the Rogue Psyker availible from FW... Only you know, calmer...
I'm building the entire squad, so far I've done all of them except for him and the guy on the far left - Whom I assume is a member of the Dark Mechanicus.

I believe that picture pre-dates the FW Rogue Psyker, so wouldn't be him specifically... I've always assumed it's just a generic mutant, just one of those weird little gribbly life forms that appear in 40k artwork like the Imperial cherubs.

I don't think it would be too far off to think he's just a chaos corrupted human. Space marines are 7-8 feet tall normally, how tall do you think a chaos warlord with a twin linked auto-cannon for an arm can be? 10 feet? 12? compare that to a human, especially the corrupted malnourished mutant monsters that pass for human on the chaos side of things. That little dude at the base is probably some stunted chaos slave who's only purpose is to attach those decapitated heads to said warlords armor. If he's really good, he probably gets to cut them off the dead and carve cute little eight pointed stars on their foreheads.

The Rogue Psyker could be based on the guy in the picture, though.
If I had to call him something, I'd call him a familiar.

The codex the artwork was released in allowed for the purchase of thralls or familliars, so its reasonable enough to assume hes one or just a generic chaos slave.
