However, this does make me very curious. If you were to build a fully serious Orc&Gobbo super mega all comers WAAC 2250 or 2500 point tournament list, what would it look like?

Warboss w/ folding fortress
Lvl 4 savage great shaman w/ shrunken head
Lvl 2 shaman w/ dispel scroll, ring of fury
Black orc bsb w/ MR banner or LD banner
2 single trolls
Everything else into a massive unit of savage orc big uns (maybe with bows)

How about the most competitive possible without any cheap gimmicks like FFFort. An army that you would be as competitive as possible with but still need to at least deploy and move some models around.

The DoC list had 2 flamer units(pre-nerf), big unit of letters, and big unit of nettes.

And the sheer idea that a DoC player would complain about O&G is laughable anyway. The Empire list had a unit of 28 inner circle knights, which is way more scary than black orcs, he just choose to present his flank to you, so that he had to flee from your charge.

The lizzie player had a life slann + temple guard, plus a ton of skinks and a steg. And the CD book itself is overpowered, destroyer or no destroyer.

Your list is powerful, but has plenty of weaknesses. You still have animosity, no real magic defense, low Int, low armor and you had little chaff as well. No one ever tried from what I could see to redirect your savages or black orcs, like you were doing with your troll toward their units.

It probably would have been fairly close to what I ran. I could run a troll horde, or bring in the squig herd horde, but it's hard to say as it heavily depends on the tournament setup. As far as this one went this is pretty much the best list I could make without cheap gimmicks. I needed enough units to take objectives, hold table quarters, and fend off crazy stuff.

Running that fortress list in this tournament wouldn't have gone well at all.

In the end I know how to run a strong list that games whatever tournament setup there is without going over the top, but at the end of the day I'm always left feeling I should have scaled it back even more.

I said it on the video, but I'll say it here too - I really liked the Daemon's list and I think that he had a pretty solid chance of beating you had he kept his head. Had he redirected the savages to give their flank to his daemonettes he could have likely won combat and locked the savages in place until something else could help or heck, even tried to get lucky and break them. I have to saddly admit that I was cheering for him to win in a combination of "ha - see, the ending is never decided you smug jerk" and "hooray, underdog win!".

I know I meant to against those CD fire monsters but I don't think I did, and I should have against the daemonettes but I didn't.

I know I did call it at one of the game during one of these two tournaments but I can't remember which... all I remember was that it was against a fun opponent who actually asked me to yell it out... so maybe it was the chaos dwarf guy... I don't know.

Sooo different than the 7th ed Waaagh! which was called every game without fail
