crits on craftworld eldar

Hey, been reading the 2010 compendium on craftworld eldar. Cant see any reference to them taking crits on a 4+ or even a thing saying 'behaves like normal eldar'

Am i blind or do craftworld ships only take crits on the 6+ like other fleets? Please point to page numbers so i can see lol.

Your not blind I cannot find the reference in the FAQ2010. On pg135 tho under ghost ships it details under the Deathless special rule that ghostships receive crits on a 6 not a 4,5,6 as with other eldar vessels. We can infer from this that CWE do indeed take a critical hit on 4,5,6.

It was in the old Craftworld Eldar PDF, I think it was left off accidentally in the new one.

Was kind of hoping that they had decided that as the craftworld ships were grown from pure craftworld wraithbone that it was a bit tougher and didnt fall to bits so easily. Makes a cruiser heavy fleet quite vulnerable though. High crits dont bother the corsairs so much cos they mostly have 1hp anyway.

Might see what my local group rule as technically RAW omit it even if RAI it should be there.

Its a bit of a balancing issue. Fluff wise its due to the sensitive equipment (although the section on ghostships would lead one to belive its due to the crew themselves being that much more fragile...

ELDAR CRITICAL HITS
Any hit on an Eldar ship causes critical damage on a D6
roll of 4+, rather than the usual 6+.

According to the page headers, that document was originally published in Fanatic Magazine # 3 in 2004. I would think the compendium is in error, but I can't say for certain.

I knew it was in the old one on the gw site, i do expect the compendium to be incorrect, been looking for an errata for the compendium as its a pretty big glaring error.

Good mistake. Official Eldar rules are crappy anyway. Imo that is.

Eldar MMS is a solution to anyone who dislikes the official ones.

Not tried mms yet, kind of like the flavour of msm, personally i think all fleets should be able to do it as they are shooting on the move. Anyone used mms regularly and seen what its like?

My opinion is flawed, I wrote them together with Sigoroth initially, and now take care of them. The MMS variant in the unofficial BFG:Revised project is 98% carbon copy of the core rule mechanics regarding MMS and Eldar.
