    Knights of Blood (army question)

I have wanted to build a Death Company army for some time. With 6th edition out and Death Company doing really well, I assume now is as good a time as ever to build one. With that being said, here are a few things I want you guys to take a look at and express your opinons/concerns...

-Knights of Blood are "dangerous to friend and foe alike".
-Knights of Blood are renegades (and as such I find it hard that they can maintain objectives).
-Knights of Blood are "the epitome of dedicated assault force".
-Knights of Blood "have been ravaged by their genetic flaw".

...I bring these points up because I feel that they give me an opportunity to create a unique Death Company army. I also like the idea of converting some of the models. Maybe replacing the non helmet wearing marines with more sinister chaos/vampire? heads. I am leaning toward the models having lots of blood and blood splatter as well.

What are your thoughts/opinions on an entire Knights of Blood (Death Company) army?

I think you could definitly do that; alternatively, you can Do them as actual chaos space marines using the chaos codex; their color scheme is red and black with a juggernaut head in profile.

Just use actual khorne berserkers and khorne marked marines.

I was talking about the Knights of Blood in the Blood Angel codex. The chaos warband(?) Knights of Blood are a different force from the Chaos codex.

    Sounds very cool.

Assuming you actually want to use it on the table top, I'd probably be fine with letting you take multiple Death Company units as your Troops choices, with the caveat that you move Death Company Dreads to Elite or Heavy Support and do away with the 1 dread for five DC thing.

Would you use Astorath and Tycho?

They are actually the same chapter but thats the point.

They are a blood angel successor that have become renegades. They are not chaos worshipers per se but neither are they considered loyal servants.

Its an ace idea though - you could use some of the Blood Knights fron fantasy for conversion bits and "power" swords

I wouldnt change anything and only use rules from Codex:Blood Angels. Death Company are troops and the 0-1 is lifted when taking Astorath. So Astorath would be mandatory for me. I plan on using 6 squads, so I wouldnt be using any Dreads.

My mistake, though I'd probably be cool with it if you didn't want to take Astorath.
