With any luck these numbers will both increase as I get stuff done.
I've had the Tau lying around for Lord knows how long.
And the Eldar are a compendium of models I've eBayed over time, so expect aspect warriors and farseers. They're going to be my relief, as it were, for when I feel like painting yellow Tau again will kill me.
Yes! I've failed dismally in the past but this time I'm determined. Only problem is that I don't know whether to go Tau or Space Marines... Decisions, decisions...
For the moment put me down for 1000 points Marines Errant with no allies.
Of course this may all change. I'm rather taken by the idea of a Rogue Trader force (as in a combined Guard and Marines Errant force led by a Rogue Trader)...

I've signed you up for 1500 points of Tau with Eldar allies if that's ok with you? That way you don't have to worry about the 2:1 points split too much.

Quite a few people seem to be torn between what to start, and it's starting to rub off on me. Although I've signed up for Dark Eldar, I'm thinking that for what I'm planning to spend on them I could get a reasonably sized Dread Mob instead. I'll have to ponder further...

Hi. I usually do Tale of Fantasy Painters but I'm in for 2000pts of Squats (SM proxy). I'm only going to use good models (regardless of manufacturers), with some conversions and stuff in there too.
Have been with the ToFP the last two seasons, with great success having two 2k armies to show for

Well this time I hope to start up my Dark Eldar and carry on to the finish.
So if you put me down for 1000pts of Dark Eldar (Kabal of the Black Gate) as a place holder, I am going to re-start from my failed attempt from last year if thats ok? So my 1000pts already includes a Beastmaster and a few beasties, although I have tweaked them from last year!
Plus 500pts of Orks as I keep putting them off and I shall see what happens from there!

If I can just work on the vehicals I have alot of converted and scratch built graud vehicals that need some good paint jobs so I will go for 1500 pts of graud and get them finshed built and painted over the next year.

Not the most creative list but its models that I like. Skarbrand will be the forge world model (hence the herald) and will likely appear early on in the tale. The marines are going to be night lords using the forge world marine kits however with the horus heresy series on the horizon I'm wondering what night lords goodness might be inbound. I'd also like to add a full on Nurgle contingent at some point with scythe totting terminators but we'll see.
Cost wise its not too bad - £395, not including anything I find in sales/back of the bins, but also doesn't include a storn raven which would be a nice treat. Roughly £30 a month which is mostly under my current budget. On my current exercise schedule however (£1 for every ten minutes, soon to be increased to 15mins...) it only works out at... erm.. 65 hours.. BAH! Thats not including flights of fancy, spray paint, and other essentials... double bah.
