How to Paint (I am not certain but this may be the same as the flip book that was released earlier this year with the paint set.)

Codex: CSM (going up same weekend as codex released)
How to paint: CSM
Tactica: CSM
And a few more WFB

November Releases:
Codex: Grey Knights
HtP: GK
Tactica: GK
And a few more WFB

December Releases:
Codex: Sisters of Battle

Tactica: SoB
And a few more WFB


Note: Dark Angels was not in the info I saw for the remainder of the year...

Honestly, I don't know. My info was Empire was supposed to have the first Digital Army book coinciding with its release, then Orcs, Skaven, Daemons, Lizardmen, Tomb Kings, Warriors of Chaos, Vampire Counts...

I dont know what happened to that schedule or how its falling now.

Should we assume that those SoB notes are for the current WD Sisters rules and models?

Edit: Thinking about it, that seems to point towards a Finecasting of the Sisters line. It would be strange to do a How To Paint article for a bunch of models made from a phased out material.

A digital version of the Citadel painting book will be nice. Also good to hear about the neatly timed digital rulebook and digital Codex Chaos! Thanks Monkey Man!

@Zanzibarthefirst: I bet it will include everything, plus extras to entice those of us who already have the physical book. Who knows, it may even include FAQs...

FAQ will be included, the two books out now have been digitally updated so I would expect the rule book will be up-to-date.

edit: Just a thought... the digital rulebook is going to be a *massive* file. The current digital codices are already hampered a bit by sluggish page loading. This problem will be far worse with the rulebook. Hopefully they will have worked that out, otherwise it may be nigh unusable.

So are the How to Paint and Tactica articles going to be free downloads like they were in the past, or are these going to be iBooks and thus unavailable to anyone that declines to use Apple products?

@Lars: All GW digital products are iPad only, for better or worse. I think the tactica articles will be free but I wouldn't put it past GW to slap a price tag on them.

So you have to buy an iPad too.

I'm surprised about the Sisters Codex. It did need to come out again so people can access it, but this is not the way, especially for a WD codex.

@Private_SeeD: Apple has user interface guidelines that dictate minimum sizes for controls. Squishing iBooks down to the iPhone size would render many navigation controls (such as paging buttons) too small to be manipulated accurately.

@MajorWesJanson, ogretyrant: Fortunately Apple will be introducing a smaller iPad this Fall which will be much more affordable than the current lineup, probably around $200 USD. So not everyone will have to miss out on GW's digital offerings.

the current tactica articles that are up on ibooks have a pricetag ($8 in Aus)
