    The 147th Krieg Regiment (devastators)

Hi guys! Ben here with my first ever log! As you can see in the title, it is indeed the infamous death korps of krieg which in recent years have become increasingly popular! (maybe because the sad truth is that while it is still cheaper, games workshop is not that far off of forge world prices -.-)

So one day I was sitting around after work thinking, 'hmmmm i have too much money in the bank for my liking so i must just spend it...all.'

But woe is me! I came to a point where I am now incredibly bored with GW basic armies! So I popped down to warhammer world, walked up to the guy behind the counter and shouted 'This army, I love it, give me these items immediately!'

So that was the story of how I am now broke, luckily that was last month and I get paid friday so is alll gooooood!

So what did I buy I here some of you asking? You'll have to just wait till the pictures and (even though is in the wrong section) if some ask, 'But Ben, why did you buy those units?!' I shall shed some light on the tactical aspect of it. (cheeky i know)

So pictures will follow tomorrow and I hope you like what you see and if you do, I shall do one for my elysians!!

    Peace out!

    Ben

They look very WWII French for some reason? Colour scheme I reckon. It may be the camera washing out the shade, but have you thought about washing the leather parts with Badab Black/Nuln Oil? It does the leather look sweetly, and quickly. Good start. Like the Commander paint job, set apart from the rest, more bling-ed and his pose helps i guess.

Just a suggestion, but not a critisism although it sounds like one, sry. The bases are not 'muddy' enough prehaps for a siege trench warfare army? Just my taste, they are fine as they are but - Krieg=Mud. Maybe ease off on the static grass and incorporate some wooden plank 'duck boards' or something similar?

I had a Krieg army all unbuilt and finally gave up (i'm a Power Armour junkie with not enough time anyway) and sold it all. Good to see some Krieg being painted! Well done Sir.

Thank you for the comment!! It has all been stored up and will use a lot of it!! I was trying to go for a training ground army if you catch my drift? But hey ho! And I know the pain of power armour addiction! I have iron hands (4companies worth to be exact!!)

But anyway thank you!! (Ps these pictures were done on my phone :P)

Why the blue if your trying to give them a historic look that's not the way to go the Germans had replaced all the blue uniforms by 1910 4 years before the first world war nice work painting though

I reckon you shouldn't take pictures with the flash! It washes a lot of the actual color out of the model... : / So no flash next time! Otherwise, things look good. Kriegian guardsmen are just a personal favorite of mine as well ^^

To be honest, it's more or a greyey blue, if that's such a thing! And like droken said it is probably the flash! First time trying decent photos!:P
