    1500 Sneaky Warlocks (Eldar)

    40K Army: Eldar
In line with my "Use Karandras to Outflank All the Things" mentality, my next step is with a Warlock Deathstar:

    HQ:
    Farseer - 103
    -Singing Spear
    -Runes of Warding
    -Fortune

    Karandras - 215

    Troops:
    5x Rangers - 120
    -Pathfinders

    5x Rangers - 95

    10x Dire Avengers - 152
    -Exarch w/ Bladestorm, Dual Catapults

    10x Wraithguard - 399
-Warlock w/ Spiritseer, Conceal, Singing Spear

    Heavy Support:
    2x Shadow Weavers - 60

    Other:
    10x Warlocks - 356
    -2x Singing Spears
    -Embolden
    -Enhance
    -8x Destructor

    Total: 1500

Some neat benefits: In Big Guns Never Tire, I've got in the Shadow Weavers a T7 scoring unit to camp an objective with. Thinking about dropping the non-pathfinder unit for another Weaver, or a cheap Wraithlord. I intend to walk the Wraithguard in front of the Dire Avengers, screening them while being fortuned themselves. Karandras and the Warlocks will outflank and burn something to death, and then burn anything that tries to assault them to death. It's a pretty fierce Assault unit, mostly because it has Karandras in it. Considering giving the unit Conceal for Karandras' benefit (4+ cover seems good), but I feel like it's too many points for just that.

I like this. I just wish lists like this that make sense tactically were more fluffy.
Gods in 3.0 D&D play dice with the universe, sometimes throw the dice behind the DM's screen where they cannot be seen and then count as getting the best possible result.

Honestly the only thing I can't justify fluff-wise is, "Why is Karandras helping some Warlocks to sneak around?" :P With a heavy Seer/Wraith list, that in-and-of-itself is very Iyanden. Rangers make sense with the Iyanden theme, too, being small squads that are effective at taking out more dudes than they lose. They could be outcasts that came to Iyanden's aid, due to the Craftworld having a nonexisting pool of disposable anything. Dire Avengers are the most common warrior aspect, so I don't really think they'd need any fluff justification.

Ooooh it's interesting all right. The only problem I can see is what happens when you end up outflanking on the wrong side of the board?

I've been debating outflanking the squad in a wave serpent to help with that, and also to give myself an extra 6" of threat range if I do happen to outflank on the correct side.

I dont like that the warlocks dont have the farseer in them to fortune them...a 4++ with reroll is way more survivable that a 4++ without.

at this point its a very expensive flamer unit with outflank. Half of the wounds you suffer you will fail and lose models..unless you position Karandras very carefully each time.

    Hope this helps
