Just a quick question, what do people do when they have finished with their models? Like, when you build a stand-alone model purely because it "Looks cool" ?

I've a large collection of real-world models that are taking up shelf space, and with no interest in.

I have a monolith (I don't play necrons - never have - it's the only necron model I have) that I bought PURELY to light it up. It sits in the cabinet and looks "cool".
I have a couple of 1/35 scale real world tanks (M1A1 and a Merkava Mk1) because they were cool to build. My sister in law built a diorama bases to sit them on (either, as it's a desert sandpit base, so it fits either) but they sit inside display cases on the bookshelf.
The gaming stuff sits in their cases when not being used. The cases stack in my cupboard of shame (no glass doors).

If you have stuff you no longer want or need, there is no shame in selling it or otherwise passing it onto someone else.

Well most people have their homes cluttered with stuff that lack any clear purpose beyond decoration, so you could just put some of those mini's on a shelf and look good.
You could also sell them, or put them in a box so you can dig them up whenever you feel nostalgic.

@ Symrivven: The only thing about storing them is that most of them are my old 1/72 + aircraft, so finding a box is tough.
