    Making a modular gaming table

Ever since I started playing warhammer a long way back in my early teens I've been wanting to make a gaming table.
Now when I've gotten back into the hobby again I have finally decided to make myself a one!

Since I live in a fairly small apartment the table need to be able to stove away. Therefor my requirements are:

-It should be modular (2'x2'), gives morw flexibility and is easier to storage
    -Should be sturdy and durable
-Be lightweight so I can transport it if I wish
-And of course it should look good!

I decided to make the table out of pink styrofoam, I've got 3 pieces of this material which roughly 4' by 2', these I then cut up in 6 2'x2' pieces.
I am trying out different methods how to connect each piece with each other, more on this later.

Here's the first of 6 pieces:

I have one questing though, do you think I should secure the static grass with matt varnish?

totzro, that looks great my friend, infact it's inspired me to get off my backside and start my own board! if your happy with how the grass etc is laid out then yes seal it,nothing worse then a floor coverd in flock!every time you use it,what thickness is that board? and what have you used on top for the terrain?
    cheers
