    Immortals vs Warriors

Just wondering what people think about the whole Immortal vs Warrior debate.
Personally i am finding Immortals to be a lot more effective due to the frequency of AP4 and better against infantry, but Warriors can deliver more shots and are better against vehicles.

It depends on who you are fighting really. Sometimes you just need a BLob of 20 warriors where the volume of shots at you just requires bodies.

I consider Warriors the safer bet, but if you know who you are up against then Immortals may prove great.

Ultimately taking warriors means not really have to worry about anti-mech since Gauss weapons are capable of destroying any vehicle really.

One squad of 10 warriors rapid firing on AV14 results in 2.22 hull points being removed. It only gets better from here.

Depends on the rest of your list and as others have said who you are fighting.

I like immortals more from a hobby perspective i enjoyed building and painting mine hated building warriors. What i dont like about immortals is that there is only 10 of them. With Warriors having a blob of 20 gives you a certain peace of mind. Immortals Getting shot with imperial guard tanks ap3 templates is an absolute nighmare. If i could run immortals in units of 20 i probably wouldnt have used warriors even if they are cheaper.

Warriors are better in almost all situations. They can take an av 13 transport that's nice or the night scythe. The points difference hurts immortals to much. You have to go solid immortal for immortals to work well. Warriors seem to synergize better for me.

Warriors - because they can go inside ghost arks and immortals can't

What? Immortals are always better then warriors against infantry because their gun is S5 and the have 3+ armor. And immortals can also take the night sythe

    Re: Immortals vs Warriors

I'm on the side that immortals are almost always better:
    -Cooler to look at
    -Tougher to kill
-S5 weapon is a big deal IMO

I run a mix however. Necron infantry are so cool and good that it's most of my list. MOst of the new options in the codex, now that 6th have arrived, can be ignored for the 4th ed options. Not that they're bad, I just mean that the original army I would've wanted to use (Immortals, Warriors, Monoliths, Wraiths, Scarabs, what have you) is quite doable.

I don't know why you'd need ghost arks for either. Night Scythe gives you immediate, sometimes cover-denying shots where you need them; and so does a monolith. Unlike the Arc, they also provide *a lot* of firepower themselves. Arcs are good, but they don't even remotely factor into my Immortals Vs. Warriors thinking.

Either way, I'm running between 20-30 Immortals and 15-30 warriors. Still testing what I like. I've tried out (and am still debating) Vielteks with small warrior squads for busting artillery (read as Bassies, Night Spinners, etc..) in the backfield.
