    G'day all, having played Black Templars for 10 years I have decided to finally make the switch to the Imperial Guard. I have no clue how they work so Im very vague with them. I have gone through some pictures and quick history reading about Kasrkins and was wondering if its possible to run a small but deadley strike team of Kasrkin?

    If it is possible ( fingers crossed) could someone take the time in replying the following:

    What HQ would I run?

    Can I add two Chimeras (upgraded)?

    What squad sizes can the Kasrkin consist of?

    Any advice/experience would greatly appreciated

    Depends what you want your guardsmen to do. Probably a Company Command Squad.
    While mech is not as strong as it was most things you will want to take can have a Chimera as a dedicated transport.
    Ten shall be the number in the squads, and the number in the squads shall be ten. Infantry squads and Veteran squads -which you will probably be running- always consist of ten men.
    You're going to have to narrow down how you want your force to work to get more specific advise. It sounds like you will taking meched plas/melta vets and maybe an Al'Rahem platoon, but you may want to read the Codex before narrowing your options.

    Ok so I purchased the Imperial Guard Codex . Quick read and hot damn! I find it really really different from the ordinary Space Marine Codex Layout Yeah Im now looking at 2 x10 Infantry squads, x1 HQ, x2 Mortars, x1 Chimera. Just want a standered small Army thats going to be effective. Im going to read the Codex tonight and see if I understand small things like why have a Vox in the squad and if the grenade launchers are grand or what!
