Post/Build Your Own Chaos Terminator Lord/Sorcerer

Hi to everyone that reads now and to everyone that reads later.

Like it says in the title (Which hopefully kicks off to a good start) Post your exisiting model you have in your army, or build your own and post it here to show off to everyone.
This thread aims to bring a good part of warseer together in showing off their cool commanders and sorcerers, their ideas and thoughts and their painting and conversion skills.

This i just for fun, you may want to show off your;
Painting,
Conversion work,
Sculpting,
Gives you a reason to build one for your army and have fun at the same time,
A mini break from your army at the moment
Or if enough pictures are up, give you motivation to try yr hand at a small side project to what your doing at the moment.

The idea for this thread came from the Slayer Sword 2008 Challenge on the GWS Website which i think putting together pics of everyones cool models together in one place would be awesome.

If you have more than one, brillant but post each one in a seprate post to give that model the attention it richly deserves.

Well then I'll kick start us off

I can't decide on what legion i want to do for the new codex, so decided to build one Character for each legion to see which one i enjoy build most.

I decided to try out this guy first - A Death Guard Sorcerer.

For this project my goals where;

Try out Liquid green stuff (never used it before)
Work on my converting
Practice nurglish stuff lol

I hope i did a good job, In all the bits i got from ebay and bits sites cost me £19 including postage. I drew out my idea first which changed throughout the process sooo

Neat idea for a thread and I really like your DG Sorcerer.

This is my Sons of Malice Lord, the Abhorred. He's pretty old now and I never finished painting him but he's still my favorite.

My main goal was to make a menacing looking lord that was unique.

Well, here's mine, kinda proud of the ugly bastard. He's supposed to be a dark apostle, but I run him as a sorceror ingame (hope the new dex helps me out there)

Drazhk Four Gods know they name blessed is thee son of Lorgar. Mate really nnice with the dark crozius and the hooded head with no face, really mysterious.

Hi to all, finished my next character build, my Iron Warrior Captain.

I like Forrix from Storm of Iron so my general idea is from him. For this project i wanted it to be simple but clean finished as i picture IW's to be bionical, mechanical, not fancy or overdone with markings, just what gets the job done.

I wanted a Combi Weapon, the new forgeworld oness look sweet and a daemonic hammer which i like the outcome although i thought of it to be smaller in my head.
Overall am happy with the finished, not as detailed as the Death Guard Sorcerer but enough for him to stand out.

Hi to all, finished my next character build, my Iron Warrior Captain.

Nice use of the Anvil Industries bionics and Tartaros stormbolter. The daemon hammer's good (reminds me of Dreadaxe) but looks more like a double-headed axe to me.

Charax i know what you mean, when i thought of the idea and ordering the bitz it looked smaller in my mind.
Base the Ruin you have got to message me your colour scheme, those eyes on the armour and the gold am considering doing a count as "Black Legion" Loganwing army right now. But am sticking to my guns and going to do a Dark Apostle WordBearer. Next Keep them coming Guys/Gals

Some very nice Abaddon conversions there. Here's my offering, a slightly different take - heresy-era Abaddon.



A very much WIP shot. He's currently being painted at the mo, just need to finish the base and add a little weathering, and once that's done ill get a finished version up.

It's my second attempt at a heresy era abaddon, inspired by one of the images in Collected Visions (the one with the Red Angel and the assembly of heresy era chaos Big Bads). Originally started with a converted finecast abby... but he just didn't seem imposing enough... still a lovely model, but the abaddon model isn't quite as imposing as the newer terminator models. Thankfully, and as the number of 'plastic' abaddon conversions show, the plastic chaos termi lord isn't far off - the legs particularly are pretty much the same as far as details go.


Later on today I might get up a picture of him painted... just don't expect a brilliant paint job

Also, I absolutely love tamiya clear red mixed with devlan mud. It makes quite lovely fresh gore.
