    Infantry Necrons 1500

    40K Army: Necrons
    Overlord
    - Warscythe
    - Mindshackle
    - Weave

    2 Lords
    - 2 Warscythe
    - 2 Mindshackle
    - 2 Weave

    20 Warriors

    20 Warriors

    20 Warriors

    10 Immortals

    Annihilation Barge
    - All Tesla

    Annihilation Barge
    - All Tesla

    Annihilation Barge
    - All Tesla

    1500 points on the dot.

Lords/Overlord jump in Warrior squads, Immortals run as is, Barges take on Fliers/MC's/Infantry.

All i need is 3 Battleforces, and sell the Arks to buy some Barges.

I am usually a fan of Crypteks, but not sure how to fit them into an infantry list.
Was considering running 3 Stormteks with a Veiltek to blow an expensive vehicle or squadron off the board Turn 1, but not sure if the 135 points is worth it for a suicide unit.

The other option i was thinking was dropping the Lords and running 6x Warrior squads and the Storm/Veil combo. At least then i can target more units and a sweeping advance will only lose 10 models rather than 20.

    Maybe something like this...

    Overlord
    - Warscythe
    - Mindshackle
    - Weave
    - Phylactery

    4 Crypteks
    - Storm
    - Storm
    - Storm
    - Veil

    12 Warriors
    12 Warriors
    12 Warriors
    12 Warriors
    12 Warriors
    10 Immortals

    Annihilation Barge
    - All Tesla

    Annihilation Barge
    - All Tesla

    Annihilation Barge
    - All Tesla

    1500 points on the dot.

Pie plate templates will rip this army apart, 20 model units just dont cut it in 6th imo (unless your a horde/swarm). Having played necrons a tonne of times in 6th, the things that devastate my marines/guard are scarab swarms. They are tank destroyers in the upmost. Id personally drop the warriors into 5 units of 10 and then use the spare points by dropping 10 warriors get some scarabs.

    Re: Infantry Necrons 1500

Maybe it is just me but I love my Ghost Arks with mobs of 20 Necrons and a Res Orb floating around.

Anyway what I do when it comes to Infantry necrons and cryptecs is I try to stick a Gaze of Flames and/or a Lightning Field in each unit.

If I was to come up against those lists I think I would be more affraid of the second list with 7 infantry units to deal with, 6 of which are scoring.

As always you can not go wrong with Annihilation Barges.

About the only thing I think the list is lacking is Fast Attack choices for when you roll the scouring mission as there are always going to be 6 objectives in that mission and 6 troops may not cover it.
I'll think of something appropriate soon enough to put here.

    What about something like this...

    Overlord
    - Warscythe
    - Mindshackle
    - Weave
    - Phylactery

    Royal Court
    - Harbinger of the Storm
    - Harbinger of the Storm
    - Harbinger of the Storm
    - Harbinger of Despair + Veil of Darkness
    - Lord w Warscythe/Mindshackle/Weave
    - Lord w Warscythe/Mindshackle/Weave
    - Lord w Warscythe/Mindshackle/Weave
    - Lord w Warscythe/Mindshackle/Weave

    10 Warriors
    10 Warriors
    10 Warriors
    10 Warriors
    10 Warriors

    Annihilation Barge
    - All Tesla

    Annihilation Barge
    - All Tesla

    Annihilation Barge
    - All Tesla

    1500 points on the dot.

This gives me the flexibility of splitting up the Lords into the units and deep striking the Crypteks, or else keep the Court all as 1 unit with the Overlord and deep striking the deathstar, obviously depending on the opponent and deployment.
The other option is to drop a Lord to run a unit of 5 Scarabs which can either be used as tank hunters, a mini tarpit/distraction, or go to ground on an objective (if i get the FA mission) for a 2+ or 3+ cover save, but that means that 1 unit will be without a Lord.
EDIT: Actually, if i was going to drop a Lord for the Scarabs, i'd drop the Phylactery off the Overlord too and run 2 units of 3 Scarabs.

2 units of 3 scarabs are bad. You suffer from first blood as well as them not doing much. Small sacrifice units can work sometimes, but not when they gotta run across the board.

Honestly unless you plan on facing a bastion or fortress of redemption, scarabs are no longer required with all the gauss. If you're doing immortal spam, then scarabs become a better buy. Although it is rather entertaining watching a large scarab wave turn a fortification to dust in a single phase.

Any opinions on the list with the 5x10 Warriors and the large Court?
(Keeping in mind the option to split the Lords into Warrior units if need be.)
