Newbie Trollblood First Tournament - HELP!

Hi All,

I would very much appreciate some critique on the following list. It's just some models i've managed to collect on the cheap from E-Bay and peice together an army with. I'm looking for something that's easy to play with and can potentially win games, nothing tournament winning for now!

It's a 50 pt steam roller. What do you think?

Well for a start you're actually showing a 51 point list. If it's Pmadrak then it's 50 points.

Either way my advice is you need more troops with Madrak. He cannot run more than 1 heavy and 2 light warbeasts as he doesn't have the fury management. Even with whelps and Krielstone he'd still be struggling.

There's no reason for 3 Impalers. At best 2, but most people would only run 1. It's not a prime beast for Emadrak and more useful with Pmadrak as he has a ranged attack.

I would suggest based on what you have lose 2 of the impalers and run with the left over beasts.

I'd definitely suggest expand the krielstone to max and get the elder and he gives you so many options.

My suggested list would be

The reason I suggest the Fennblades is firstly they are cheap, but also a very effective unit for you to use. I'd suggest both the Kriel warriors and fennblades could do with their UAs to maximise their effectiveness.

50 points is possibly not what I'd recommend starting to learn to play trolls at. Much better to get a few games in at lower levels to get a feel for them and how individual things operate.

Got to agree with Keravin - Trolls are really a tertiary army for me, but you really do have too many beasts for eMaddy to handle. Hoarluk could do better, but three Impalers is too many unless you're running Capt. Gunbjorn. Is this just all the models you have, or do you have other options? I know how it can be, trying to piece together a list from secondhand lots - if you lay out your collection we can try and help you find a better combination of models.

Yehr that is literally everyhting i have, i dont have any whelps yet either!

The thing is i have much larger Menoth and Khador (much much larger) armies, its just i dont know how to play with them yet as ive played more with the trolls....

Thanks so much for replying guys really appreciate it, i think im going to get myself a unit of fenblades of fennblades for sure. Not sure i can fork out on the warriors yet, but i understand its something i will need in the future with their UA's as well.
