the two Independent Characters and the large troops unit form a deathstar/bubblewrap to protect my units. the unit has 57 x str 4 attacks, 8 x powerfist attacks, and 5 x str 6 ap3 attacks, all with rerolls on the charge, and a surprisingly good overwatch ratio (neos have bp & ccw, initiates have boltguns and a flamer). if attacked by a vehicle/walker/MC, they will even take the vehicle down usualy, as not only do they have fists and a s6 power weapon, they also have 20 x krak grenades.
if a particular matchup has difficulties, they can be aided by the two dreadnoughts, who also have Rage for total 4 x str 10 attacks each on cc, init 4.
the rest of the army operates as a solid firebase- even discounting AP(big assumption, as LOTS of my weapons have good AP) they produce 6 x str 9 shots, 6 x str 8 (melta!)shots and 8 x str 7 shots per turn; with a small number of template weapons and some cc ability to use against infantry.
