    Carab Culln?

I thought this guy (the commander of the Red Scorpions chapter) was "invented" in imperial armour volume 6 or 7 but now i find quotes from him in white dwarf 105 made yeeeaaars earlier!
Does anyone know where and when GW started using that name and chapter?

They're one of my favourite chapters and i would love to get my hands on as much information aas possible!

He's an Ass nuff said. He also takes the 4th edition Space marine rule "Have pride in your colors" to an extreme. SO much so that he hates his own scout company because they dare use Codex approved camo patterns. This from the chapter master of a hardline codex chapter obsessed with purity. Culln has a great model to bad his background really doesn't live up imho.
To represent the Emperor on the tabletop simply place a live hand grenade in your opponent's deployment zone, pull pin and duck.

I believe the Red Scorpions have been present since the introduction of the Badab War background in WD 101 by Rick Priestly. Not sure if Culln was described in those parts or not.

    Re: Carab Culln?

There was no mention of him in that original article. Since it only consisted of a single column of text and a two-page spread of colour schemes, there was no room for quotes from individual Marines (except for the "Big guns never tire" quote from the Tyrant of Badab).

So, WD 105? Was that the Space Marines army list or the rules for the Land Raider, that Culln's quote appeared in? The Red Scorpions were nothing but a name, a colour scheme and the odd quotation (and a couple of symbols on the Land Raider transfer sheet) until Forge World decided to use them in Imperial Armour volume 4.

So there is nothing going on about the red scorpions from white dwarf 105 to imperial armour 6?!?! This makes me sad panda

Forge World picked them precisely because they were a Chapter of no previous importance. It gave them a free hand.
