Some help with cobalt blue...
Hey guys and gals, im painting some chaos terminators at the moment and I have decided to go with a metallic cobalt blue colour for the base of the armour but I am a bit stuck on what colour to do the rims of the armour. I do not have a picture of my WIP (as any cameras I have access to are in Wales) but the cobalt blue is very similar if not a little darker then this http://verboten1.net/cb550/blue.jpg . Any suggestions and tips will be greatly appreciated.

Do you mean as a lighter blue? Or something to complement it? I'm assuming by "rims" you mean things like the borders on shoulder pads?
You can always go with some form of silver, sort of the blue/cream look but staying metallic... deep browns might allow some interesting combinations?

Re: Some help with cobalt blue...
i mean as any colour in general, and yes the rims of the shoulder pads and such details. I tried a creamy white and it did not work very well. Maybe silver would be a good idea i had not thought of that. The thought of yellows came to mind to go with the blue colour but i did not want it to appear to tzeench.
I think ill try your suggestion of a silver and see how that goes thanks for your suggestion

gold with a dark brown wash would work, sort of a rusty goldish/copper tone.
