    Drakemasters of Caledor

Look to the skies. Comments and criticisms welcome and requested.

In the elder days, the Drakemasters of Caledor soared on dragons whose wings could blot out the sun and whose flames were hotter than forges. The lords of the air and the princes of Caledor fought side by side against Demons, Druchii, and all manner of beasts, proving themselves the world’s mightiest force. Now, in an age when ancients slumber and youth is exposed to the horror of war, the Drakemasters have once again made their wyrm-call. But this time, it is legacy that has answered. Young dragons, often referred to as Sun Drakes, have emerged from the dens of their slumbering parents, all too eager to whet their fangs in blood and announce their arrival with primal roars. Though often no bigger than a griffon or manticore, Sun Drakes hunt with all the primordial hunger and pride of their forebears and are determined to prove themselves worthy of remembrance. For their part, the Drakemasters are all too willing to accept the aid of such creatures. Any dragon, even a youngling, is a force of incredible power.

Champion Musician and Standard are really really calling out to this unit. I would make it that the unit's elves move to 2A and give them the option to have any number of drake masters (to get to 3A) at 10 points each, and allow them to upgrade for M, and S as well.

I don't want to make them standard Dragon Princes, but I could think of an upgrade. While I muse on that, I'll add the standard bearer and the musician.

Why not have a unit upgrade for the Drakes instead of the riders? A one use breath weapon attack.
Or something like an Impact harness upgrading the Stomp Attacks on the turn they charge?

I think you might want to give them a special banner that's designed for them, or a 50 point banner limit

I'd drop the Monstrous Cavalry and have them as a monster with 1-3 per choice. Or perhaps even just 1 per choice and a SC (Imrik?) allowing them to become 1-3. I think limiting them to Monstrous Cavalry is a bit of a poor representation, personally. Also, im trying to imagine ranking up the models...
