Thread: Best model in 40k

Immortals used to be the best model in the game. Now their Codex is awesome, but they're kinda lackluster.

Still a big fan of the Monolith.

So basically, if shoota boyz had vendettas as dedicated transports, all of 40k would end.

What about Big Mek with shockk attack gun? in every game it either does something devastating (like rolling double 6's for Str when hitting cortez & his warband ) or something very entertaining!

How about death company. 200 pts for 10 guys that have 5 attacks each on the charge, WS 5, have fearless, furious charge, relentless(in case you decide to run bolters), FnP, and rage! Oh, and its a troops choice!!

as a second addition I would like to add BA libbys, 100 pts for a pretty darn good HQ with access to some of the better psychic powers in 40k.

or maybe even the death company dread with blood talons could be a candidate. 6 str 7 AP 3 attacks on the charge, that re-roll to wound and adds an extra attack for every single unsaved wound he does, oh yeah and he's WS 5, has fleet, furious charge, rage, none can stay my wrath(ignores shaken/stunned), and comes with a meltagun standard!

I play BA so I am a bit biased.

How about belial of the deathwing(dark angels). 130 pts for a term with your choice of weapon loadout at no cost, and unlocks terms as troops?? yes please.

    Rambo and Vendettas

    Farseers, Baron get honorable mentions.

You know models are good when you see people ally specifically for them.

I'm quite partial to using Typhus, and I also quite like the Blue Scribes.

    Battle Sister Rhinos by far
Saint Celestine is no joke either though

No Runepriests yet? Yeah, Vendettas probably win more, being far tougher and more reliable, but when it comes to x-factor support units, I don't think there's much better.

That said, the sheer diversity of responses in this thread gives me hope for this game. And the repeated mentioning of the Vendetta promptly dashes said hope.
100 Gaunts on the field to shoot down, 100 Gaunts on the field, you shoot just one, then reload your gun, 99 Gaunts still alive to shoot down

I'd second the vote for Saint Celestine - less than 120pts for near phoenix lord stats, effective indestructibility, a heavy flamer with a jump pack and the ability to damage almost anything in the game (Not to mention 5 attacks base! Not many human sized models capable of boasting that)

I also think the Changeling at least deserves a mention. A 5 pt upgrade that has game winning potential is not to be sniffed at.

Vendettas, Sly, Purifiers and Baron Sathonyx should certainly be up for consideration as well.
