    Kabal of the Unrequited Vengeance

some time in the recent past, I was pontificating on the state of affairs that I saw most Dark Eldar armies in. "They all look like they were just sprayed black, and highlighted like disco balls!" I said. "Why doesn't anyone do white dark eldar? that would look so cool!" I said. I was at my FLGS with my good friend Chimerologist, on a tirade like no other when he got up, and literally threw a box of warriors at me and said "NOT ANOTHER WORD UNTIL IT'S FINISHED!" It's been something of a journey, but i think i'm going to give this whole dark eldar thing a whirl until the craftworld eldar get a look at in the next year or two.

Looks good, I like the colours you've chosen. I agree with you that more variation in Dark Eldar colour schemes would be cool. I look forward to seeing these finished.

    Wow!

I really really dig those Dark Eldar.

I completely agree that DE all look to... Dark. And sure that's fine but these are really eye catching and show off the brilliant models.

What was your technique and colours to get that white. It could be handy to know.

Looks to me to be white basecoat with some layers of turqoise?? wash, built up, then highlighted with pure white again

Fantastic looking, I'm planning on adding some dark eldar allies to my Eldar, and painting them dark red also to move away from the highlighted black, brilliant paint scheme, have a similar scheme for my Shadow Spectres, look forward to seeing more

I'd say it's perfectly fitting for DE to look dark/sinister because of their, well sinister character. But individualism and the archon's/leader's excentric sides are the perfect "excuses" (as if you realy need it) for alternate schemes.

So I pretty like the DE of yours, reminds me a bit on ghosts from 'eavy metal's WHF and lotr painting. Fits as well as tron-style armor.
Though I don't like the purple tabards so much, I'd prefer a striking red. But hey, from the technical perspective there is no room for critics.

Reminds me a lot of the King of the Dead from LOTR (where -I think?- they did washes of reds, purples as well as greens) - my fave 'ghostly' colour scheme for any WD mini.
I wondered about white with yellow, but wouldn't show up as much as your fatnastic scheme here.
Isn't there supposed to be a realm of the dead / ghosts on Commorragh (= where the Mandrakes might come from?) always intrigued by things like that and kudos to you for this style. Subscribed straight away.
