    Hi everybody,
Is there anybody who used corsair Night Spinner? Is it useful weapon? 130pts for that toy seems quite high price but ...
    What is your experience?

I assume it's the same as a normal NS, which means I hate it lol. I hope they update those rules to just be "the next turn" or something; it annoys me so much even if it doesn't kill much.

EDIT: I should highlight that unless bunched up, light infantry units, you will not kill much. It has no AP value, doesn't deny cover, and DT tests don't ignore armor anymore, meaning that you'll slow the unit down and it might lose a guy here or there (I lost a terminator to one the other day..) but otherwise most of the time you'd be better served by a Fire Prism I imagine. At least then you have options for denying saves, twinlinking, adding damage to the table against vehicles, etc..

Something to consider. I believe this would be the consensus but I haven't heard boo about NS other than a regular opponent of mine since.. mid 5th.

THX for your opinion. Look, it is twin linked so quite accurate. Pirates have BS4 what increases accuracy even more. It is barrage so well placed blast=no cover saves apart from forests that can eat u up. Rending quite potent again. Artillery of 72 inches range. Cost only 15 points more than regular Night sppinner. Now they have "jink" as any other skimmer. Dangerous and difficult terrain is the icing on the cake. The most interesting is that it is fast attack for Corsairs. So ... using elite rules for Corsairs i can field 4 fast choices what in their FOC is quite crowded: Hornets and Nightwings. I am quite curious that it could be quite useful in such case. Especially against those elite mobs/gangs/stars used along with warphunters in heavy slot (many barrage/template blasts)
    Thx for your answer.

I'd stick to Hornets and Warp Hunters for most of your FA/HS needs. The Warp Hunter flame template attack is nasty, ignoring armor and cover saves. IIRC it doesn't scatter, either. Just wound on 2+ and pray they don't get lucky with invulnerable saves. With the new holo-field rules, you can skip pretty much all the upgrades and take naked tanks that do their jobs nicely without any extra fuss.
