Is the charge on the picture possible? the red unit cannot fit between the two black units. Would the enemy close the door, or would it be an impossible charge?

The charge cannot be declared unless there is a chance the left black unit will be out of the way before the charge move is completed. As it stands, the wheel would bring your unit into contact with the left black unit without also contacting the right black unit (which would be allowed as a charge against both units), so I can't see that it's an allowed charge.

The picture and arrow suggests the red unit has a narrow frontage and many ranks, but there is really now way of knowing which direction any of the units are facing making the question rather hard to answer.
does their facing make a difference?
The arrow indicates where the red unit wishes to charge, and that is where it is facing. think of it as a bretonnia lance formation, if it helps![]()
Yes the facing make a difference. If its a Bretonnian lance looking to the side of the arrow it can make the charge and the enemy indeed has to close the door if it can.
Bretonnians ARE NOT a pure Knightly army.
Half the army choices consist out of Peasants and Damsels.

The front arc of the red unit is to the right, where the arrow start. does the enemy has to close the door then?
as long as he can see the unit he is charging, rolls high enough and one of them can close the door, then the charge is legal..
alright, wasn't sure that was the case when the thing blocking was another unit

Yes. The chargers move into contact with the target (using their one allowed wheel), but the target unit must close the door. Presumably the chargers will move in such a way as to both bring as many models as possible into the combat, and also minimize the distance the target unit must move to close the door.
