    Exchange Rate Ripoff

I'm going to start off by saying that this is a complaint, pure and simple.

I recently saw the proposed prices for the WH40K starter set. $99 USD vs. $117 CAD. I understand that in the past, the US dollar has been worth way more than the CA dollar. This is not the case anymore, and in fact, hasn't been for the last 7 or 8 years. Out of curiousity, I checked the current exchange rate. $1 USD = $0.989 CAD.

Considering the fact that North American supply is manufactured here in North America, how does GW continue to justify a continued nearly 20% mark up on product that they sell just across the border here in Canada? The dollar has been at parity for years, and yet still Canadians are being ripped off.

I'll admit, I'm very much ignorant when it comes to cross-border economics, but this doesn't seem right to me, and it hasn't for a while. Seeing this disparity in prices for the starter set has made me very frustrated and upset. Especially when the CAD is currently valued better than the USD.
