Warriors for Warbands: From Same Army
Hey, I'm just trying to figure out if it is legal for me to use my 20 army of the daed warriors. I know I can get 12 of them to go with the king (weactually only 11, since I also have a banner), but if I also include, say, Aragron, can I field the other 9 with him, or since they are from Fiefdoms and he is from Gondor is that not allowed? Any help clearly this up for me would be great. Thanks!

I don't have my book handy but i'm fairly sure they need to be from the same actual force entry. So warriors of the fiefdoms can only be lead by a hero of the fiefdoms. You could still have Aragorn by himself as you don't need to buy him a warband but you'd need another fiefdoms hero to lead the other nine warriors, if they have a captain of the dead you could just convert one of the warriors to be a captain.

Thanks, that's what I thought. They don't have an option for a captain of the dead. In fact, the only generic captain in the fiefdom list at all is for a captain of Dol Amroth...which is very limiting. I wanted to have 12 clansmen, 12 of Furlong's men (I can't remember their name), and use all of my army of the dead, but I guess that won't work unless I stick in a captain of Dol Amroth to lead the dead...but that just seems weird...

Yeah. I was disappointed in that entry. It really does mean that you can only include a force of 13 of the Dead with these restrictions.
However, you can mickey mouse a solution. You can set up the team so that the captain of Dol Amroth gets deployed with the Dead but then joins his own forces. That means for construction he's technically leading the dead, but in game play they end up seperated and essentially in different forces. Not ideal, but it works unless you wanted an all Dead team.

It pretty much means you can only include 13 of any of the fiefdoms...except Dol Amroth. The Clansmen, the Dead, the Blackvale, and Axemen have only 1 named hero and no option for a generic captain. Thats not the end of the world, but it is annoying. Especially since the dead have cavalry too. I suppose I could go the Dol Amroth route, but man, that feels dumb.
