I'm using the Space Marine Codex for my Space Dwarfs. Ignoring a good portion of the Squat fluff (other then the link to Golden Age of humanity) what would be the best Rhino to use ? I'd assume a Heresy Era Rhino because thats the 'original' Rhino or is the current on sale Rhino the original.
The MkIb is the oldest Rhino chasis still in use by the Imperium, but isn't in production any more.
The MkIc Deimos dates to the Great Crusade.
The current plastic kit is the MkIIc Mars pattern.
The version of the MkI with square front (rather than sloping), may be a MkIII, judging by the similar Phaeton pattern Predator Destructor(s).

You can still get the old rhinos fairly easy on eBay though - and with squats, 10 of them might even actually fit inside! (I mean, seriously. My Waaaghboss on bike is about the same size as an old rhino...)

I agree with using the original plastic Rhino. One of my gaming buddies uses them for his Squat army and it works just fine.

Thinking about it however wouldn't the most current Rhino technically be the best though , the squats have alot of stc which would include the most modern Rhinos.
All the designs date back thousands of years anyway. Pick what you like best or can most easily get your hands on.

I used to see tons of squat rhinos.
But that was back in the RT days when there was ONLY the Rhino and Land Raider kits, and every imperial could take them.
Haven't seen anyone using doofs since they were fluff-excised, though. It's all blackspikygreenhairyknight marines around here.
