So a few things - first, is anyone from here going to this event?
I am going with 5 friends and we will be delivering an Orc horde, courtesy of my personal collection, divided into 4 armies (one of the guys is going to roll with Skaven or Ogres).
So far they look like being 4 blocks of 2200-2400 (2400 is the max you can field, and there is a custom magic item list at http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_..._2012_-_v4.pdf - you can't take custom racial upgrades or other magic items)
1 list of Savage Orcs, anchored on a 40 strong horde of SOBU with AHW, 2 units of 10 Boar Boys, 2 units of 12 SO Archers plus Forest Goblins and an Arachnarok (this may be the hardest list to balance)
2 lists of regular Orcs, each with 2 big blocks of Orcs and a horde of Black Orcs, some Goblin Wolf Boys to screen and some artillery (probably a rock lobber in each list) - I might run a Wyvern in 1 list
1 list of Night Goblins, this one is pure fun really, a block of 70 NG spearmen, 2 smaller blocks of archers, a horde of 30 Squig Riders (or 2 blocks of 15?) and a squig herd horde of 40 (12 Goblins, 28 squigs). Rare is a Doom Diver and 4 Stone Trolls with a Big Boss (it's cheesy but should I run a black orc with them to make them work?).
I guess the things I'm thinking are, what does each list need to make sure it is vaguely competitive, is there anything that will really make them vulnerable? And what would you cram into each list given my racial constraints (which I know are stupid but .....). What Orc hero/Warboss builds look good considering the available magic item list?
O&G core is generally pretty strong so don't really mind the lists, but I guess if I had free choice I'd have a doom diver in each list - anyone selling? haha.
