1) Wizard can't take magic armor - only Chaos Wizards can as they have option for normal armor - as per rule book
2) Your Warrior Priest has a shield AND the enchanted shield - I'd drop the normal shield
3) Your BSB actually has a 2+ save, 4+ plate, 3+ with shield, then 2+ with the Helm

Personally the list lacks options - the rank and file troops are going to do ok but against elites you'll suffer. Against numerous foes you'll suffer. Against monsters you'll suffer!

Too much pain!

Personally I'd look at dropping the 2nd unit of men out all together - and use the points to get a rounded army.

For e.g.

29 Swordsmen, 15 Halberdiers with the priest and BSB - nice rank & file unit - give a crown of command to someone to make the unit stubborn!

Cannon - to kill monsters

Some missile troops to bunker wizard and shoot at stuff

small unit of Knights

Still leaves you with roughly 200pts - and at such a small points level forget that scroll - I rarely take one and I do ok without the scroll.

Even a small 3 strong unit of Demigryphs would serve you better I think than doubling up on rank & file!


Go for a varied list so you can respond to different threats on the board - will also look neat and be fun to paint!

I believe he simply meant he would get +1 to his save with the helm, not a 1+ save.

I was looking at the list trying to figure out how to describe my problem with it, and this is exactly what I was thinking. With such little flexibility, it would be too easy for an opponent to simply go around your blocks and kill your wizard and his bunker. He can then pick which of the two blocks he wants to take out of the game with redirectors while focusing on the other.
