Chaos rumours from Faeit 212

Actually Erazmus M Wettle did, he told everyone on this forum that the Daemon wave was coming and EXACTLY what it contained before anyone else on this forum, but his post was just ignored for some reason.

Anyway, hopefully the rumour about the chaos codex being revealed at gamesday will be true, if anything to stop people saying Dark Angels are coming next month because of the back cover of White Dwarf. It'll be interesting to see if their are any of those lovely clampack characters released or not.

I don't let it bother me. If folks don't listen it's no skin off my nose. Actually I think it might have been Stickmonkey that first mentioned it. I just went and got some details.

There's plenty to be had already, Faeit's roundup is probably one of the better ones as I think a bit of the info on the Warseer ones is somewhat suspect. We're fairly certain of all the new units, a bunch of point changes and lots of other bits and bobs.

Thing is you have to remember Faeit posts pretty much anything he hears from others its more of a rumour collection of everything out there. He doesn't really pick and choose which rumours he posts he just posts it all.

These dates fit in with what I've been saying for the last couple of months, so it's kind of exciting to see if my sources are true. That and I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on a dragon or 2

I just wish we had some clear ideas of what models are coming. If there's anything that looks like the Chosen in Dark Vengeance I may well be in for new models (and a codex) after all.

From what I remember, I saw several types of daemon engine, one of which was a flyer (the "dragon"), and 2 types of jump pack infantry (new raptors, and some warp possessed equivalent).

On July 18th, Naftka reported that August 4th would be the release date, from a message sent to an inbox.

On the 11th of August, he reported that it would be release along with the starter set in September, from a 'special guest'.

On the 18th of August, Natfka posted reported the release date to be the 8th if September, based on a comment left on his blog.

On the 3rd of September, he reported that CSM will be released 'for' GDUK, from an anonymous source.

On the 4th of September, he stated that they will be available for pre-order on the 29th, with the 6th of October being the release date, from a 'must remain anonymous' source.

Those are all the reports that aren't based off a rumor from another site, like warseer.

Do you know that that special guest dropped huge number of CSM rumours witch were later confirmed by BoK rumours?

Do you know that rumour source that said it is 8th september was on spot with DV release?

Do you know that on 22th of August he reported via Stickmonkey that it will be october release and then his sources (wich were on spot in past) claimed it is September release?
and so on

Why don't you mention that almost everyone was surprised by daemons in august, not only Natfka? If I remember it correctly it was surprise even for Harry and Darnok but not sure of this.

Ghost21 might be liar, but bashing every rumourmonger because he did not guessed correct colour of Abaddons hair after providing us a crapton uf useful and correct info is just wrong.

I call utter nonsense on all of these rumours that we see on American Websites these days, Faeit 212, Bellof Lost Souls, Blood of Kittens,3++ etc. They have all been trashing out terrible rumours for the last 6 months and non of them have come true.

It seems clear as day to me that Dark Angels are next, their picture is on the back cover of White Dwarf, the entire Dark Angel section has been removed from GW website. People in the US (who would have no inside scoop on what is happening in the studio in Nottingham) have no other evidence that CSM are next other than they really want them out ASAP.

When CSM do not come out for 2-3 months (as I think Chaos Warriors will be before them) I hope they eat some Humble Pie. I will if I am wrong

Dark Angels arent off the shelves yet...And the WD picture in the back simply shows art from the Dark Vengance game (meaning more coverage on that). My guess would be CSM simply because the box has models you couldn't field otherwise. As a new player buying the Dark Vengance box and going to my local store finding out I cant use my Hellbrute, Cultists etc. wouldn't be any good. I think that CSM is up next and WD will probably have a "get by rules update on DA" or a book soon to follow.

I wasn't passing judgement in Naftka. I just listed the details of each of his rumours. This way, everyone can make their own decisions about the validity of these.

But so far, three of his dates have been wrong, so I've decided not to believe his rumours anymore.

i really hope they update the old models (if they dont change which i really hope they do especially the CSM troops ) with the new black legion color scheme, well what appears to be new i think

really hoping the models are also up to par with the DV set, and i hope they make another chaos lord kit with more tainted armour like the new one

Well maybe a new Battle force is coming but it's not necessary that a new Codex is coming. It's possible that we just see rules for the Helbrute and the Cultists in a White Dwarf and then that's it for Chaos for now. I sincerely don't hope so as I stopped playing this game when the current Chaos codex arrived and would like to join in when a proper codex arrives. Talked to a GW store employee today and asked if he knew anything and he's as hyped as I am and told that he stopped listening to the rumours as he remembered the strongest rumour for a new Chaos codex once came from a GW store manager, that the Chaos codex was eminent. People online were even more ready and hyped for a new Chaos codex as we are now, nothing happened and that was one year ago.

Anything can happen and I think that a Chaos codex soon will come but maybe I just have this hunch because my hopes are up. Right now White Dwarf points towards Dark Angels and maybe only updates for Chaos Space Marines and Chaos Daemons via updates. Meanwhile rumours for the arrival of a Chaos Space Marine codex keeps getting pushed weeks at a time, seems more like guesses than actual rumours.

There's too much similar-sounding info from too many people for this. Certainly, there's a truckload of new models coming at the very least.

That would be nice, there has certainly been a lot of talk about the Chaos dragon, but maybe it too would have rules via White Dwarf. Do any one know how long before a release of a new codex is the old one pulled from the shelves or online store?

Back on topic - my local indie has stopped taking orders for codex chaos, only models.

Except the rules do not seem to match up, and we do not necessarily have a confirmation that Helbrutes and Dreadnoughts are the same unit.

I know it's not exactly what Worldeaters was suggesting, but I would say the two were close enough that you can use the hellbrute as a counts-as dreadnought until the new codex is released.
