DA Rumors

Good day warseer. I've got some juicy model rumors on the upcoming DA release.

Despite the WD cover, I am hearing Nov/Dec timeframe. Not sure if this is reveal in Nov WD (released in Oct) release in Nov, or reveal in Dec WD...the way the rumors are flowing its getting very difficult to be sure what is meant.

Here's what my sources have past along:

Characters:
New Azrael - PA, helmet on and off options, still with a watcher model holding combi-plasma (supposedly the watchers have an expanded role on table top now, but this is the first I've hear of this and no details given, so lots of skepticism.)
Azmodai - TA
Ezekial model staying the same.
Ravenwing Bike captain
Named Sargeant (Nameth?)
Belial gets a model
Sammael gets a new model (I am not certain, but this could be the bike captain being mistaken)


Units:
Landspeeder-esq flyer. (we've heard this before, so could be rehash) Has Aquila like wings. TLAC, TML, TLPC, TLHvyB (sounded like these were options, not that it had them all at once)
Plasma Pred (heard this before, too) TLPC turret.
Deathwing Box (new to me) AC, Cyclone Launcher, THSS x2, LC x2, PS x1, PC, HF, PF x5, SB x5, CF x2 (Lots of bits there, consistent with the load of extras in things like the Space wolf Termies, Plasma Cannon Termie? IBIWISI)
New Dreadnought type. Mortis options.
Inner Circle box. Elites. Robed PA. dual unit box. one is CC focus, the other is dual pistols (gunslingers, anyone?) one version uses chaplain helmets.
Seige unit. (not many details given on this, sounds like techmarine thunderfire type unit, hoping to get more on this)

I am liking the sounds of this. More terminators are always welcome, and I think that will eventually be the new standard size for troop units. Everything is getting bigger!
I don't see Sammy getting a new model, and a box of Chaplain like dudes sounds sweet!
There was also a plasma cannon Terminator on the GW blog lately.

He's been dead longer than Eldrad... He was already dead when he was first included in a codex anyway. He died on Piscina in Storm of Vengenace but was included in the 3rd edition (the DA's 2nd) codex.

Regarding Naaman, the dead can always come back! I'm waiting for Eldrad to break out of the Blackstone Fortress as a super Avatar of Ynnead in the next Eldar codex!

Asmodai in terminator armour will be neat to see. Hopefully the model is the same high quality as the Dark Vengeance models.

I still don't understand this new aircraft. The armament sounds just like the Storm Talon, so I don't see the point.

A new dreadnought kit will sell well, especially if all the weapon options are included.

Multipart Deathwing are at least 13 years overdue... about damn time. Pencil me down for three boxes, please.

Looks like DA have a plasma fetish after all! Let's just hope there's an actual explanation in the background this time-- for example, a special Adeptus Mechanicus Forge on The Rock.

edit: The new DA power armour boxed set sounds like the rumoured new upgrade sprue that allegedly contains bitz for making plastic Chaplains!

Anyway, I speculated that DA will not be a huge release and this new list seems to prove that. What we are in dire need of is that new codex.

edit: I think Makakai means a tactical squad box that includes a better upgrade sprue than the (mostly) rubbish one we got in 2007.

Probably because they know plasma weaponry is the most effective way of killing those that would try to stop them from capturing the Fallen, namely Chaos Spacemarines and also because the Dark Angels generally have access to a lot of older (and therefor better) technology than the majority of other Spacemarine chapters. Just the way it is really.

As I recall, like Grarg said, they do recycle the name Sgt Naaman. Its almost like an honorary title.

If Chaos are up next (and I hope not), I'm afraid that we won't see any new Dark angels until next year as mentioned above
But I would love if we are wrong and GW have other plans for the DA. If there will be a delay until next year I wont buy any
miniatures until then.

@Gharnukk: One of the previous rumours (from Faeit 212?) said DA were delayed until 2013 due to the release of the FW Horus Heresy book. That still sounds like speculation to me because GW plans these releases at least a year in advance.
