that thing is huge I like it, much better then the elemental of beasts in my opinion. The cloak, face, and flames look great to me. could do with some painted photos though.

I really like the sculpt and imagine that it will be a real challenge to paint convincingly. has some good detail and would work well in most fantasy armies. good work imo.

Looks great from the front, a nice imposing demonic head that'll probably be reused in many conversions and a sweeping bit of cloth. From the side though his actual body pose looks a little goofy and awkward rather than dramatic. It could be just the pictures but I think it is more a combination of the spindly legs and the neck craning forward so far. It's also a particularly dark set of photos which is making it harder to see all of the detail.

Plus, with a model covered in fire/spectral-fire effect sculpting I think it's always hard to be certain until you see the thing painted. Great to see Forge World back on making some Warhammer stuff though! I can't wait to see what they do with the Dwarves.

It's a nice mini, but it's really not what I'd picture for an elemental of any sort.

Agree. The big giant feet look out of place. Not a model that really interests me TBH.

It's not really the feet that are big, it's the legs, he's got very long legs, and such legs need feet that size in order not to look ridiculous on a humanoid creature. That doesn't bother me, it's a design choice, why not. What I don't like is that it looks like a civilised creature, it's got "clothes", a weapon, a stance and even a face that screams it's not only sentient but probably very intelligent. For me, elementals should be, well, elemental, not advanced. That's what I don't like. He would make a pretty awesome demon though, though I have no idea what it could stand for.

To me it reeks of WHFB Roleplaying 1st ed... and that can never be a bad thing! I dig it, but I think they should've painted it before release. I also think that they should've made certain to get the Destroyer out there ASAP, but you can't win 'em all...

Looks to me like they took some inspiration from descriptions of Efreeti. Always liked the Al 'Qadim AD&D setting. If anyone has an Araby themed army, this wouldn't look out of place. Needs paint to capture the imagination though. Bad Forgeworld!

I'd have to see it painted, but so far it doesn't look promising. It reminds me too much of the old, bad Albion Giants that Trish sculpted. Shorten the legs by a third and straighten the neck a bit and it should look better. The Beast one was much better (and yet still far from great, if you ask me).

Fire is really difficult to get right, it seems.

I cant quite make up my mind about it. Its cool how they have gone with a more flaming humanoid and its odd proportions add to the effect of it being an unnatural thing (no mortal being could have feet that big and thumbs that small ). There is just something I cant quite put my finger on that stops me jumping for joy about it, probably to much grey. I really wanted one for my TK but I think ill wait till I see a painted one before I commit my monies.

Face reminds me of a bloodthirster. They had firebased attacks in the past so that fits.
Don't like the legs and feet. I think it would have looked nicer if it was just a mass of fire with a human/daemonic upper body.
