Thought the goffik rockers had rules in Freebooterz. RT era.

But I could be wrong. I do know the models predate 2nd edition though.

First in the basic box, and then new models in the same style as those but with more option on the sprue). Persumably for 2nd ed space hulk (1995?), so it wasn't exactyl the same model for 15 years, and in any case, Jetbikes and horses have beaten them by far in either case.
Actually, the SH2.0 stealers WERE the same ones from the original set.
Only the terminators and tiles/counters changed.
The stealers remained that way until late 3rd ed (when they were replaced with the newer styled multipart pieces)
The terminators also persisted into 3rd ed from the SH2.0 set (until they were replaced with the more multipose ones).

Eldar Jetbikes are 2nd ed, as are the vypers and falcons (apart from a possible repack of secondary weapons? All my Falcons were bought in 2nd ed).

Ragnar Blackmane predates 2nd edition. Right before the boxed set came out there was a proto-codex in White Dwarf. End of 1st Edition

Eldar Jetbikes were out in plastic long before the Falcons. In between the two there was the Vyper, unique for it's time because it had a clear canopy. Jes Goodwin had to convince them to let him use clear plastic parts by telling them they'd be used in future Eldar vehicles, ie the Falcon. 2nd edition

The Warlock is easily the oldest Eldar Model. It's from the Warhammer 40,000: Compilation time frame. 1st edition, along with Goffic Rockers.

What about the Sisters of Battle models? I believe they are quite old, 1990's era at least, but there may be others that are older?

The new style Stealers were a 4th edition release, they had the Space Crusade style stealers up to then. Battle for Macragge had the new style first, as push fit, then the multipart was released.

Imperial guard chimera is pretty old. Same as with a couple of elder warlocks.

They might have the largest proportion of 'old' models - the bulk of them are from 1997. Nothing older than that though.

On the 'Tycho' model, this is the model that was the original - just the generic BA captain. I thought it might be the longest production model, but checked the website and it's not there.

I definitely think the Eldar have got to be the oldest production models. It just goes to show what good designs they are - haven't needed replacing/updateing for more than 23 years.

The plastic space marine bike hasn't changed in a long time and that has been available since the mid 90s. The sprue was recut and the rider was changed but the bike parts are the same.

The first one to come out, the Great Unclean One, was 1996, so far out of being a contender... and I'd appreciate it if we could hold off on referring to anything released since I started playing as "ancient", I'm not that old yet!

Yeah really, I've still got all the old greater demons from when they came in blisters.

I concur. Possibly the metal Nurglings too, until they released the plastics recently.

There are definitely rules for them in one of the original 3 Ork sourcebooks. IIRC you could add them to a Big Boss' retinue and they either boosted friendly morale or reduced enemy morale.

As far as vehicles go, is the Ork Trak older than the Eldar Vyper? It was 1994 I believe, along with the metal Tyranid Rippers which are still available direct.

How about the old Imperial Guard figures still available online? Steel legion came out during the 3rd Armageddon campaign, but the catachans, valhallans and tallarn dates back to the 2nd edition.

1st edition Space Hulk had the Terminators and 'stealers sharing a sprue. The 2nd edition ones may be the same sculpts, but the mould was new.

    These two Warlocks:

    http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/ca...Id=prod1060088

are, I think, the oldest 40k models with rules, although the OP doesn't specify that. I think the Goffik Rokkers might be older, but I'm not sure. I think the Warlocks predate the mk1 Space Marine in the Armour Through The Ages set - they certainly predate the others. Of course, those Marines have just now been redone in Finecast - does that disqualify them?

All of those models I mention are from 1st edition, so you can all stop mentioning stuff that came out during 2nd edition.

A.T., those Terminator arms date from the mid 90s - they from the 2nd edition Terminators*, not the old RTB09 box

*technically the Wolf Guard and Deathwing Terminators came out during 1st edition, but only just. None of those bits are still available, anyway.

Most of the collector range of metal imperial guard date from 1995 - see Tymell's release timeline.

The plastic horses that come with the Tallarn/Attilian rough riders have the date 1991 clearly on the sprue.

Actually the nurglings were fairly recent. I'm not sure on the year of release, but I would hazard a guess at around the 2004 mark. There was an entirely different sculpt prior to them, which had them wielding tiny hand weapons which were around 1997 along with the Great Unclean One. Then there was the ones before that, that I still have, which were a different sculpt again. As far as I'm aware they didn't mix up the different generations in the blisters so the nurglings models have always been relatively recent.
