How to get a "ghostly Effect" ?

Hey Warseers, ive recently begun assembling a unit of skeletal black knights out of bits of skeletons and emperial outriders and realized the horsies are not exactly bony, what would you guys recommend for colors to make it ghostly instead?

    thanks in advance.

Don't know if it would work for just horses, but I use this simple effect for my spirit hosts (made from men at arms) and hexwraiths (made from knights of the white wolf) - undercoat white, apply a purple wash, then a blue wash, then drybrush the whole model white. Very quick and looks quite decent.

Yeah the green ghostly effect looks good too, I chose purple because a lot of my army is purple themed.

IMHO, the nicest ghostly effect is the one GW used for the LOTR Kind of the Dead. I don't know how they did it, but I think they explained it in a WD. I believe it's got purples and reds as well as greens in.

Always work from the inside out....cept when doing spirits If you look at some pics, they have 2 shades. They have the shade that is between the high areas and the shade in the crevices. Do the wash that is inbetween first, then line (take a small brush and wash just the cracks) the second color, then drybrush the white back on.
