    Skaven Clan Skratch

Hi fellow Warseers. Having recently finished my wood elves (you can check them out in my signature), I decided to move on to my skaven that have been sitting in a box for a long time. So far I've been working on my battle standard bearer, whom I converted from the IoB warlord, and 20 clanrats. My camera broke right when I started painting so I had to borrow a friends. So now I'm on track to hopefully do some weekly updates and get any comments anyone has. My painting has much improved from when I was a kid so I really want to bring my skaven up to the highest quality I can muster. Thanks for looking!

Not bad at all actually. Could use some brighter colors to liven things up though, perhaps green bases will do the trick? It would be nice to see a whole unit painted up and based, I think they're going to look really good fully finished!

It's been awhile hasn't it? So much for updating every week. Endless camera issues are partly to blame. I shelved my camera because it stopped working and on a whim I tried it out again and it magically works. Funny how that is. I didn't want to push my luck so I took a quick pic of my clawleader for my clanrats with hand weapons. He's not quite done but I wanted to hear C&C to see if I'm heading in a good direction. I'm not overly pleased with the GW texture paint.. I'm thinking of going in another direction for the bases and would be open to suggestions. The snow base idea intrigues me but I always figured skaven are in dirty dingy tunnels, and only Clan Moulder is up in the cold north.

Update! Finally found some time to get up the motivation to paint. Got a couple WiP rat ogres to show. Quick question: what is the texture on the back of the ogres? I think it's supposed to be stretched skin but I could be way off. I still am not sure what I'm going to do with it... It looks off the way I was thinking.

Really liking the look of this fella here! He really looks sewn together as the Rat Ogres should be, great Warhammer Fantasy job I say! Look forward to seeing what you try to do with the basing and as a Skaven player, looking forward to seeing more of your work! The only criticism I have to pair with my comments is that maybe you could use photobucket or imageshack to upload your photos? It puts a strain on my terrible connection to click those small thumbnails and enlarge them to see whats going on. Regarding your question, go for stretched skin if you think its right! I am a firm believer in creative license, they are your minis so do whatever works .

Hey again. I went on a small spree and close to finished this guy up. I think the skin might be a little bright but I'm open to comments. The tail sucked to do but I think it came out well
