Why is it the guy who sculpts the Seeker mounts clearly doesn't know how people actually sit on horse like creatures? They're all about to fall right off.

Most redeeming feature I've seen about the warshrine is that with very little work, you could make two warshrines from the kit. Cut the actual shrine into the front, and the back. Add some wheels. Put the horror looking statue on one part and the huge icon on the other part. Have a troll pulling each part from the front. Need to add a sorceror to that, but it really looks like most everything you need to make two warshrines is in the kit.
I'd also cut down the spikey circles from the sides, as they draw attention away from the other details.
There are no rules when it comes to chaos, just guidelines. even a vampire could ascend to daemonhood, he have no really good reason to however since he's already immortal and it'd mean somehow scattering the magic that keep his souls from being released into the realm of chaos. But its possible. As long as the soul exists you can ascend. And since we've seen non living things (trees and rock and stuff) becoming living by magic i would say that rule can be broken as well.
I want to make a model for a tree that was brought to life, died, was resurrected, and subsequently gained daemonhood!
Finecast is like a watch from Armani - very expensive and waterproof.
Kaiserfaust!!! little plog of mine - http://www.warseer.com/forums/showth...e-clad-in-Iron
I didn't know some of the new CSM models were finecast.
I assumed the last year and a half of finecast was just a transition from using metal and plastic to using just plastic. CSM and now these models are the first NEW models done in finecast. Until now they've cast new models in plastic, and cast existing metal models in finecast. I just don't see why they couldn't cast Festus, Scyla, and Valkia in plastic. It seems like they have been able to cast models about as detailed as them in plastic before so I don't see the necessity for finecast.
They've been doing finecast only stuff since finecast was released last year. Plastic has a different process than metal or finecast. Longer lead time, cost of a steel mold, certain undercut limitations (which can be overcome by just cutting a plastic model into more pieces), and more advanced engineering are required for a plastic model.
ok cool to know thanks.

I tend to get my stuff from here, new chaos stuff is 25% off![]()
I think so, not sure tbh.

Send them a email, the guy who runs it (andy) is a very nice guy, actually brought the models to me in person.
a blog
The DE Haemonculus, Grotesques and Wracks would like a word with you. They have been releasing FC minis (not metal-to-finecast, but finecast proper) for quite some time now. The plan, if I understand correctly, is to have all troops and characters in plastic, and only some SCs and stuff in FC.
Heh since we know what will we get on this saturday the qestion remains when we will get the new book? And what will we get with it...
From current rumors:
- Van Horstman on Dragon
- Dragon Ogres
- Forsaken/Choosen
I really like all the new modles. *Waites for the angry mob to attack*
I convert just about everything I paint, so I'm never too worried about these things.
@AaaBattery: I like most of the stuff too
Festus and Valkia look great, Skullcrushers are exactly as advertised (Chaos Knights on Juggers), the Marauder cav are a bit nicer than the other ones, which I already liked (can't say I like their rules tho), and the War Shrine isn't terrible. I'd certainly convert it somewhat, I feel it needs chainmail hanging down by the sides in the way the Sphynx kit has it, but nothing too major. Probably leave the chaos spiderwebs off the side. Warriors are big boys, they don't need a handrail for safety![]()
Having seen a better picture, Festus is pretty spectacular. I hate the random tentacle, but the rest of the model is delightful. The paintjob on the Nurgling assistant is a bit cartoonish as well, but I don't think it distracts from the sculpt (other than really not looking like any other Nurgling/Nurgle Daemon). He's a good diorama piece - probably not that solid for a gaming piece, though.
