Who would make better allies for a main Necron force at 1500 points? Grey Knights or Chaos? I think a psyker or troops that can hold an objective if assaulted would be useful. Suggestions?
Could you devise a small allied detachment (200-400) points for the recommended ally?
Necrons don't really need allies. They're are already really good at everything.

Well you can, it's called a double FOC list, and it's much better than external allies.
