Hi, I have a question that hopefully someone here can answer?
Here's the situation: I run a fairly successful painting service for customers in my local area. In the latest batch of models from a repeat customer (among some of GZG's beautiful Bubblegum Crisis miniatures) was a traveller or whatever for use in one of his role-playing games. He explicitly said that he wanted tanned skin.
That last bit is the problem. I don't have the old Citadel Tanned Flesh, nor whatever is closest to it in the new system. I don't want to buy new paints for a one-off miniature. The only skin tones I've ever really done use Tallarn Flesh (typical colour scheme) or Dheneb Stone (Raven Guard generally) combined with Ogryn Flesh, with a few instances of Scorched Brown with Badab Black. I've never done tanned skin.
My typical method is base-wash-layer-layer-highlight, delete as appropriate. The first layer is generally re-applying the base colour. Using this system, can anyone suggest a method that I can use to get something resembling tanned skin short of buying all-new paints? Thanks in advance!
