    Re: Csm rumors

Looking at the codex entry, we can say for sure that there won't be a chaos cultists kit as long as Dark Vengeance is on the shelves. Just like we haven't seen Killakoptas yet.

All the options in the codex represent exactly the cultist models from DV, so why should they release a seperate kit? It wouldn't add any new weapon options and only eat the sales of DV. The codex is clearly written with the knowledge in mind that there won't be any other cultist models (apart from DV) out for a long time. Chosen and the Helbrute might be different because there are a lot of weapon option yet uncovered.

It's possible they might put the same DV models out in a similar way to how the High Elf Lothern Sea Guard from Island of Blood were released seperately.

Ah, okay, thanks. That's actually a rather good collection.

Having bought a load of those extra LSG I am happy to get these.

Multipose (for more variety) and inclusion of icons would have been prefect but these will do just fine. Half wished they had altered the mix- i.e. 2 autoguns and 3 CCW would have helped pad out the CC horde (I reckon will probably need larger units of CC Cultists than shooty units).

    Cheers

So... they released an infantry box set that cannot make a game legal unit unless you buy minimum 4 boxes?? Or 5 boxes, if you want cc guys?? And unless you want units of both, half the infantry in each box are unusable??

This sounds odd. Maybe it's like the push-fit basic troop kits that other races have; just a unit filler and painting test ground, to be superseded by a full multipart kit (I'm assuming which will come in CSM wave 2).

Don't you think people will be buying them to boost the size of their DV units??!!

Plus you would only need 2 boxes as you can mix autoguns and CC.

Duh, sorry my bad - I didn't realise everyone had a copy of DV
Technically yeah, but who's going to have mixed squads? It'll either be CC or shooty, almost always.

I doubt you will find many players who wanted Cultists who did nt buy DV.....

So in that case you already have at least one shooty squad and a CC squad.

I can think of many things to complain about but am surprised that anyone thinks that Cultists are one of them. If you want 10 man squads buy more sets EV. Otherwise just enjoy chance to get bigger mobs easily.

    Cheers

The mix may not be optimal, but putting them out there in a form besides the big starter is great news.

Is it just me, or there stuff in the WoC release that could we 40K players could make use of? The mounts could be used for conversion, that Nurgle lord is cool looking, and the guy riding that bonkers shrine would make a pretty neat apostle or cultist champion.

Why don't you just ally with daemons in 40K, put the Herald on a Jugger, and take a bunch of blood crushers in the same unit. They all have 3+ saves, and power weapons and stuff.

Just use the new skullcrusher models and put some backpacks on them...BAM berzerkers on Juggernaughts!

Well if the leg bits are seperate from the torso bits, then these would be perfect.

Yep, not saying there arent a number of ways around it, and once Bloodcrushers become Cavalry (an assumption) in the next update, I just may.

Now that photos of the Skullcrushers are starting to trickle out... I think people who want Berserkers updated to the same standards as the Chosen from the starter set are going to have some appealing bitz options very soon.
