    The Darkness of Arkham City

Well while at Salute i had to get a Knights model Bane (movie version) so thought i would do a thread showing me paint him up and then others once i finish him. just say im not the greatest painter so no gamesday golden daemon winner here lol.
(removed the two hands as they were not the best cast and replaced with DKoK/Elysian ones from Forgeworld.

    so more coming

Yay! Nice start, and a great decision to swap out the hands. I'd never have guessed they weren't part of the original model.

Great work so far mate, every time I see these models I get more and more tempted by them. I can only echo Precincts words about the hands, at first sight they dont look like replacements.

He looks really good, I like the brown a lot. I don't know why but I thought he'd be bigger.
    I'm looking forward to more

thanks very much for the great comments.

well a size shot for you all.

talking to friend he wondered how i painted the coat, so just so you now if you have watched DKR then you know its a 3 hour film well thats how long it took me lol. base of GW leather, then a Mud wash, dry brush leather, desert brown/leather mix (20/80) leather + brown again (60/40) then just keep adding more of the desert yellow till you get the look you like then a few very light desert yellow on its own AND DONE.

I'm really liking the thugs and cops in this range. More, perhaps, than I'm liking the named characters (although I like Jim Gordon). I can see them being usable across quite a few games.

I Love your work so far on all of these beautifully sculpted miniatures. Would you mind taking a picture of the two Bane minis side by side if you have the opportunity? I would love to see how they compare size-wise. I was also wondering if you happened to know how these minis compare in size to the Dark Age miniatures? You seem to have quite a varied collection of miniatures so I thought that you would be the best person to ask. My local shop doesn't stock either range of figures.

Thank you very much Deamon-Forge, you are better than having a game rep on the boards and twice as dangerous to my wallet. Now if I can find a store that has the Dark Age Kukulkani Starter Box in stock, I'll be running a blog on Arkham City and Samaria.

That base.. did it come with it? If not, it might be worth mentioning it to Fenris games as its one of there 40mm base inserts (got the same one on my malifaux executioner).

And glad to see you getting started on the dark age figures

Well picked up a Tumbler 1/43 of ebay..... thanks new batman mag.

well i thought of the camo pattern so got some spray today and masking tape 10 worth..... and well the result.

im not happy at all, the tape which stated none bleed well bled, and the tamiya paint is bubbled in area's. so at moment i feel like iv wasted like 20 in total on this damn car......

And i give you a peek at the last Joker clown.
