    Thanks for the response. I may go with percentages for now, but i think i get what you mean.

    Ive been playing since 5th, and enjoy the options for ex whfb players now.

    Update:
    Added version 1.04 of the LRB as well as the corresponding changelog to the download section in the first post.

    LRB v1.04 is finally ready with the biggest update to date!

    v1.04 includes new army list, new units, more options, improved balance and clarified rules.
    (Please see the changelog for more information)

    Hello:

    Do High Elves fight in two ranks with spears when they charge due to the Martial Prowess special rule?

    Or is this rule limited by the "Fight in additional ranks" CC Weapon special rule that specifies not moving in order to receive it, making High Elf spearmen fight in one rank on the charge?

    Is 1.05 almost ready?

    Still the best Warhammer ruleset out there!

    Yes. Up to two ranks fight when they charge, up to three ranks fight in any other combat round.

    The idea of v1.05 was to fix all the issues with v1.04 before the ruleset is set in stone for the next 12 month.
    The problem, or rather the good news, is that up until now there are no major issues that would need fixing.
    Therefore I haven't decided yet if it's a good idea to release v1.05 with only a few minor clarifications and typo fixes...

    I will make a decision in the next few days. So if anybody encountered some issues with the rules, now is the time!

    Update:
    Since no major amendments or clarifications are needed, version 1.04 will be the stable version for the next 10-12 month.
    In the meantime, I will continue to post clarifications as well as optional rules and beta rules for new army lists (dogs of war / araby).

    A couple of questions regarding the Slayers' Deathblow special rule:

    1) Are Deathblow attacks limited by the number of slayers that were eligible to attack at the beginning of the combat round? For example, if a unit of 10 troll slayers with a frontage of 5 models is in combat with an enemy unit to the front, and that enemy unit kills all 10 slayers, then only the front rank of 5 slayers get one Deathblow attack each (and not all 10 slayers)?

    2) Are Deathblow attacks limited to those slayers that are in contact with each individual model? In the example above, an enemy character (on a 20mm base and in base contact with 3 slayers) kills 6 slayers and the remaining rank and file enemies (with a lower initiative) kill the remaining 4. Does the character get targeted by all 5 of the Slayers' Deathblow attacks? Or only the 3 that were in base contact? How may Deathblow attacks does the unit take?

    Yes to both questions.

    In this example, the character would be the target of only 3 Deathblow attacks as only 3 Slayers were in BTB and thus could have attacked the character. The Slayers would not get any Deathblow attacks versus the unit because the character killed all models in BTB with the unit. Therefore, the unit (in its initiative step) only killed Slayers "stepping up" which would not have be able to attack before they were killed anyway.

    A question regarding panic tests in the movement phase:

    In the Rally Fleeing Troops sub-phase, Unit A fails to rally. In the immediately following Compulsory Moves sub-phase, Unit A (US 5+) then flees towards the nearest table edge, passing through Unit B. According to the Turn Sequence, Unit B needs to roll for panic (and possibly flee) during the Resolve Panic Tests sub-phase at the end of the Movement Phase. Can Unit B move during the Remaining Moves sub-phase before the required panic test?

    Thanks for pointing this out!

    If broken friendly unit A (US5+) moves through unit B, unit B has to immediately roll for panic and, if failed, has to immediately flee. Thus, if unit B becomes broken it wont be able to move in the compulsory moves phase.

    The point 7. in the "Movement Phase Sequence" summary is basically only used for special abilities that cause casualties during the movement phase, e.g. "Soulstriders" in the Vampire Counts army.

    I will clarify this in the next update.
