Very nice work - just give him some more bling to add detail and he'll be a great conversion! Will be following this with interest :chrome:

A great looking conversion! I need to see this guy when he's complete.
MaxSigmund, Hushrong - Thanks for comments and suggestions - I really appreciate it.
I plan on breaking my old habit of building endless legions of marines (well, 12 really... and a big-ass stalker engine - see my Legion of Thorns) before painting - this will hopefully be a build one, paint one project.
Elsewhere I've been asked for a parts list:
Old metal Khorne Lord body, a Wolf Guard head with the hair filed off, Blood Angels Sanguinary Guard hand-melta turned into an inferno pistol, Chaos Knight's shoulder pads, a Terminator tilt-plate on the back, Chaos Marauder Horsemen axe head and the forearms and axe haft are all that remains of an old metal Chaos Chosen.
Still to do:file off rest of Khorne symbols on skulls, cable run from backpack to inferno pistol, and bling the chest!
Thanks again for looking!
His chest a very featureless at the moment. What do you plan on doing with it to make it look like an actual chest?
It's time to stop letting fear control your life and started letting it control the lives of those around you.
Nice work Lamby. Makes me want to get back to my little ][ plog. Looking forward to more of your conversions.
I got all excited thinking i was gonna be seeing true 54mm inquisitor...then i saw it was 28mm n my joy turned to sadness...but upon closer inspection of the modek i found myself intrigued...love it mate please slap some paint on him
Yeah i noticed that mate. Good job ive got 35 of em haha. Ive gpt nothin against 28mm just dont see alot of 54mm nowadays. Keep it up though buddy cus he looks awesome
Haha yeah, just wish i had the energy and patience to paint em all lol
Very cool, Lamby. Great combination of parts. He'll look totally unique.
As I said over on AB I really like how he really feels like a stocky well travelled guy compared to the usual killing machines that use that body.

Meanwhile, WIP - Kroot sharpshooter:
Would a Puritan Ordo Malleus Inquisitor employ a xenos?
And - weapon up, taking a shot?
Or - weapon down?
Going to add a hatchet somewhere, possibly on the back-strap or the right hip (opposite the knife) ... or a holstered pistol maybe?

Puritan ordo malleus? Probably not...but the mini looks cool
i prefer rifle down i think
Nasha - Thanks!
So far there's 2 votes around the internets for rifle down.
I found this snippet:Definitely going to make him fit into the retinue somehow - perhaps as a slave-indentured bondsman to the Inquisitor, who was a fire-breathing Puritan in his younger days but is mellowing somewhat in his older years? While most Kroot are seen fighting alongside Tau armies they also operate separately either working as a large kindred towards their own goals or working as mercenaries for the highest bidder. While they are uncommon in the Imperium and generally frowned upon by the Inquisition it is not unknown for some more radical Inquisitors to employ single Kroot for their impressive field craft abilities.
Yeah that sounds more feasible bud.
My ordo xenos inquisitor has a kroot in his aresanal...although Kraoknar doesnt see any action since he was shot in the head by a witch hunting puritan uaing a bolt pistol...shame too as he was pretty handy in a scrap
