When I first introduced her at the local club, people asked whether I have started working on a fursuit yet!

    That last one is cool.

(Disclaimer: I'm not a furry, but I may be slightly perverted.)

The the figures look great and I love your idea. I think people forget how offensive slaanesh would be. His armies would be pornographic to the extreme, if it was true to it's theme. Liber chaotic Slaanesh should have been a highly perverse sado-masochistic porno. The reason why Slaanesh's followers are immune to psychology IMO is that they have been so violated by their master that nothing bothers them any more.

It would be a challenge to sculpt that type of army and it would also by deeply offensive to mostly people who saw it. The good thing about your army so far it that it has a more sexual feel but doesn't go too far over the top.

    Ah, Stranger!

I know you have a name, of course you do! And I know we have met already several times - I'm not that crazy! No, I am not going to use your name. Once a Stranger, always a Stranger, that's what my cat used to say!

What? What do you mean? Of course I'm not making sense - sense is an abstract thing, you can't make things that don't concretely exist! Figure of speech? Speech is just invisible sound waves, it doesn't have a figure!

Umm, yes quite right you are, we are not here to discuss irrelevant matters.

Ahem... what was the spell.. ah, oh yes!

    Lollipop, gingerbread, happy goose
-stop snickering, it's a real spell!-
Show me a beast, or hang in the noose!

This is Cyphor Thirsty, my drunkard centigor, who's also called "cheese-ass", "that bastard!" or simply "Oi! You killed me Slayer!"

I'm quite happy with the sculpt, except that his rear legs (hind legs they are called, right?) are bit short and chubby.

The hind legs aren't actually all that noticeable. One of them looks kinda off (the one on the left picture), but the other doesn't look that bad. I really like the way you've done his braid, too.

Is that a waterskin or a bottle or what, that he's holding?

It's small brass flask with blood! I was gonna make it beer, but I had just made a Blood mix and I got a bit carried away - that's why there's blood all over him (there was much more, but I removed most... he's a Slaaneshite, not Khornate, afterall).

There's a nice story behind the braid-thing: when I first sculpted it, it looked really horrible, cos I didn't know how to make braid. My hands were covered with Milliput, so I couldn't call anyone. Then I remembered, that we have this sweet bun-sorta-thing, which is braided, here in Finland. So what I did, I opened a cookbook with my left pinky (which, luckily, was not covered in Milliput) and teeth, quickly searched the right page and there was a very good tutorial how to make braids!

i'd like to second that funky leg comment, but,you know, it works for him,
about the braids; any chance of getting scans of that? or your own little "inspired by" tutorial?

on the flask: kinda hard to recognize what it is, at first i though it was a helemt+severed head. In the future maybe use some sort of (more easly recongnizeable" goblet?

on fursuits: Good luck on making one, i can barely make a decent anime- themed costume, let alone a full fursuit. although if you do; one hint: get some Surplus Kevlar thread to re-enfroce any joints, trust me on this, kind of embarssing to have a tail come off in the middle of...

Eh, the fursuit-thing was just a joke people like to tease me with. I'm not actually making one!

E: I don't have a scanner, but I can show you a picture of the bun-thing it was for:

Alright, cos rest of my warband is still quite WIP, I'll show some WIP pictures!
    Bray Shaman Silversparks:

I already have started working on the details and I can show more when I have the time to take some pics. There's gonna be mushrooms all over the base!

I also need to file the roughness of from her thighs and do some remodeling on the face to get the expression more alive.

Looks nice, you might want to make the foot a bit less...rounded? I can't really explain it. Just make it more pointy and wolfish. Otherwise t'is bloody impressive (as is the rest of your stuff). Keep posting pics!

I can see what you mean and I agree. I have not fixed it yet, but I will.

Finnblood, I really like what you're doing. You should work on small details though when it comes to sculpting - things like hair and claws should be smaller and more sharp - try to use some different sculpting stuff for them. I don't know if you use Green Stuff, but I recommend it for the small details.

Your painting could benefit from some more visible shading. I read others' opinions on your work and I think that's what most of the people find strange in these models (apart from other, more obvious... parts), coupled with the blue tones (unnatural some may think), and a bit blurred photos, makes the people go "wtf?!?"

I see you have your own style and a lot of dedication, and with a bit more here and there (I mean the sharper small details, some more shading, less blurry photos) this would be a striking log. Despite these I really like what you're doing and wanted to say to you: Keep it up!

As Aphallos has already died twice, i thought that maybe a new colour scheme would boost his fighting abilities

    Here's a WIp pic:

Umm... who do you mean by the Dark Prince? The leader, Lykon? The name of the thread is simply referring to Slaanesh. The Dark Prince is what his/her servants call him/her.

This painting looks much better than previous scheme. You shoudl consider darkening all of the models, they'll look more dangerous and less fairy.

I will darken most. At least Wari and Lykon. Maybe Cyphor, too.
