Thread: Warhammer tournaments?

    Warhammer tournaments?

I need some help locating some upcoming Warhammer tournaments. I live in the US, Kansas. I would prefer 2 day events or bigger 1 day events. I can travel but the closer the better. There is nothing here for me locally, 40K rules in this area unfortunately. Thanks!

Wow, is there really nothing going on right now? Oh I see what's happening here! My reputation precedes me...don't be scared of me coming in and beating all your armies! I promise to kill you...softly. lol

Honestly, I'm not sure how you'd find out about tournaments in the US. Your best bet I think would be to get on Twitter and ask a few of the tournament regulars what events are coming- even if they don't know, they might be able to point you towards somebody who does.

Where roughly in Kansas are you? We frequently run leagues for Fantasy in the Kansas City/Olathe area. If interested I can get you more details.

I live in lawrence, ks. As far as two day tournaments the closest would be the Bugeater GT which is in Omaha, Nebraska it is at the beginning of June each year. I just went to it recently and it was a blast. I would also suggest if you are on facebook you should check out the MOKAN Warhammer Group. It is a facebook group for players in the kansas city area and there you can try to set up times to meet with other players and they post info about upcoming local tournaments.

I live in Lawrence. I have heard of a store called table top games but I've never been there. I'd follow up on any info you could offer, thanks!

I live in Lawrence also so if you play at hometown I probably know who you are. I was at Bugeater too and had a great time. I was the guy who won the awesome KR case!

The Alamo Indy GT tournament is in San Antonio on November 2nd and 3rd. According to the website: http://alamogt.com/indygt/ there are still 30 slots left.

Bayou Battles is on August 2-4 in Houston. http://www.houstonfb.com/ This tournament is full with 88 players but there is a waitlist. You can get on and pay the tournament entry fees to get to the top of the waitlist although there are a few others who have already done so.

There is not going to be a big tournament in Dallas (Lonewolf) this year. You may want to check with the Houston or San Antonio organizers as they probably have contacts with people in Little Rock as I think there is normally a big tournament up there (which also was cancelled this year - or maybe not, I can't remember the details on that one.)

    Regards,

    Chris

I was the guy that was playing Beastmen at Bugeater GT. I think I know who you are. Another tournament I found out about is Screw City GT in Rockford, IL. it is October 19-20th. I would like to go but I don't think I will be able to make it.

Lost Souls 2014 will be in Pagosa CO in April of next year, Tacticon in Denver has an event at the end of August and Feast of Blades now has a Fantasy event. Really looking forward to these.
