No but thats a cool idea I was thinking of some kind of dome With plants and trees growing in side and have a hole in the dome with over grown plants and trees coming out.
Ive still to deside if im having the buildings glued on to the board

I would vote against having the buildings fixed as the games will become a bit repetative.

I would vote for, as if you went with the overgrown theme (which I think is ace by the way, the arbetorieum idea is great!) you would have much more opportunity for detail.

something like this (but more ruined, and with plants coming out) could look cool.

    Oh No! Another Deadley thread!

    I LOVE IT!!

I will be following this one as diligently as I have followed your other one.

That is going to be one full table. You may have a problem moving around with your Landraiders... or are you going to make the roads wide enough to fit them?

I swear, is there anything you don't have? It's like GW sends factory stock directly to you.

If you go with the plant theme, you can run with an imperial city that is a base for the Magos Biologis or whatever they are called. They study xenos/ plants etc...You could build several "mechanicus" style buildings and incorporate those see through domes...One of them can be ruptured with plant life spewing out. There could also be a lictor on the prowl somewhere emerging from a broken building or pipe: basically a biologis project gone wrong.

    Good start!

Are you going to add the razorwire/plants pre or post paint?

This building is going to mainly have rubble and debris and some plastic girders and some small arms damage to the walls and floors

Re: Deadleys BIG City Fight Table

Good idea on the table mats! Buildings on their own bases are much better in my opinion, that way you can add to, or have less in the future for your games. That's the sucky thing about a static board where it's the same all the time, it gets boring, or the owner gets too damn good because of the familiarity of the board and stomps anyone else who plays on it.

One idea I might suggest is get some plasticard or 1/8 inch MDF for your buildings, and space the windows out more, like a 2 inch strip in between the GW pieces. It will stretch your kits out further so you can build extra ones.

I think for the new buildings you don't even need bases.

It's better too. In the rules it mentions building boundaries, which is easier to define with bases. Also rubble can be added.

Btw nice thread. Nice to see some inspiration. I've just built my imperial city and had so much fun. I'll also be getting the £40 set, as you have done.

Re: Deadleys BIG City Fight Table

I am amazed Deadley at how quickly this board is coming on, that you have started already! It sounds promising, although I second the idea for the city at one end, and raised on a hill overlooking a jungle or at least an area with smaller, more spread out buildings which were abandoned, an therefore are now overrun with junlge, think that would be original and cool, and would get a lot of support from people.

Does this mean your GKs have taken a back seat? lol
