I'm not as concerned with rules but if it looks good I'll want many - it it's at the lower end of the price range we're discussing I'll pick one up every time a paycheck comes in until I have enough, if it's at the higher end of the scale I'll struggle to justify buying one to myself let alone many. So from my perspective it'd serve GW better to produce a smaller more fluff consistent kit, as I'll spend more money on that one kit in the long run. I do suspect I am in the minority though.
No I'm with you on that. I love the knights concept and that scale of vehicle across all races is about the right size for 'giant' stuff in 40k for my personal tastes. I do own a revenant but personally I find super-heavies too big to be anything more than painting centrepieces and turn 40k into a slugfest rather than a game.

I see why some people don't like the 'big toys' slant of large oval-base kits but they are significantly smaller than superheavies (the size of which I personally hear far fewer complaints about...) and only the GW inhouse studio / kid-friendly / paint-splatter paintjob stops them from fitting more easily into the 40k grimdark setting. Give them a FW-esque gritty paintjob and they look more than apt.

Facebook, via a guy who's sourced it from a store in the US said to have the new WD a few days early. There's likely to be a kaffufle since the guys doing pre-orders already, so they won't mention which.

Expect the pictures to get nuked quickly.

That said, from a badly angled tiny picture, I kind of like it. The knee and thigh armor is a tad odd, but otherwise the legs and hips fit right in with the Mars Reaver titan styling, as does the chest armor plate. the sides of the body and shoulders look more like the old mars beetleback titan, and the guns honestly look a lot like the dreamforge melta gun and chainsword, but to be fair, there is only so much variation on a theme.

Definitely want a better look, but it looks like a functional update of the old epic model.

Hope it isn't too tall. My warhounds would weep.

And since Warhounds have 9hp what will these have?

I want one! Hmmm... I really only play chaos and orks. Oh, I got my Traitor IG, so hopefully they can bring one!

Even if it is as tall as a Warhound (which I don't expect) it will have far less mass.
The angles are all weird, but I'd say in the 6-8" range, based on the buildings around it.

And Warhounds should not be crying anyways. It's only proper to have a bunch of knights to support them.

Running out of things to build for the poor Sororitas.
In the meantime planning and working on AdMech is pretty fun

Just wait til we get more angles and alternate weapon loadouts (I'm expecting a power fist and 1-2 more guns like a battle cannon and gattling gun to make an appearance in the kit as well)
