    More updates!

I just had to test paint one of the 3d printed leo1 tanks.

I think they look decent, it's only when you study them that you see the print lines.
I just need to paint the camo scheme better on the rest.

    Hope you like it.

    KaldCB,

Same thing has happened to quite a few of us. You should still be able to log-in to your account and you can download each album to your computer (that does take a while, but Photobucket will send you an email when it is ready). I have started downloading mine and moving to another image hosting service...but it takes a long time.

    Sincerely,

    CB

I have moved my images, and are now working on replacing the links, will probably take some time before they are all working again, as it will take many hours.

I got more Vietnam stuff today!

2 Patrol boats and a blister of navy seals.

I had to build them straight away!

I Also got a Atc(H) troop transport, but sadly i'm missing half of the parts.

I'm guessing BF will replace it, it will only take some time.

I have also bought inn materials to build a proper river board, will be fun to build.

    More painting next time

Re: Flames of war project log. ww2/sixdaywar/Vietnam

    Thanks man!

I finished the table just in time as my vietnam gaming buddy was coming to stay with me for the weekend.
I was quite happy how the board turned out, the plan was to have flock on all of them, but I ran out of grass.

We tried two games with brown water navy using V4 rules.

Unfortunately both games ended in decisive US victory, with Vietcong not able to even kill a singe boat.
We sat long in to the night drinking trying to come up with some solutions, but could not think of anything at the time.

Re: Flames of war project log. ww2/sixdaywar/Vietnam

The next morning I tried to think of a solution, as it would be a waste if brown water navy did not work.
Then it came to me, that the problem was in the board. It had to much water on it, and not enough land to play on.

So i went to work merging 2 islands on each side to each other going from 5 land pieces too 4 on each side of the main river.
The result was quite good and really changed the board, really increasing the land area.

We tried two more games that day with the new board, and smaller forces ( and better understanding of the rules)

Both games were really close and very fun. lot's of boats destroyed, and the game worked great.
I was quite happy that we found the problem, as it would be a shame if we had just given it up.

    Hope you liked it!

Re: Flames of war project log. ww2/sixdaywar/Vietnam

    Day 3.

We decided to play some regular Vietnam using the V4 rules.

We managed to play 3 games during the evening.

Unfortunately the new and very improved mobility in V4 really hurts the Vietcong, as they are dependent on the game dragging out so they can get their forces in. but with the new mobility the US forces is on the objectives in turn 2, giving VC very little time to do anything.
Since the Vietnam book have not been properly included in the V4 rules, we wanted to just try it out and see how it worked, and making some guesses how tings should work.
The good news is that a New Vietnam book is coming very soon and will bring Vietnam into the Team yankee rule set, I'm very excited to see how that will turn out.
In worst case, we can always play Vietnam using our older books, which have always worked great.

When he left for home, He decided to just leave his North Vietnamese with me, since he had no other pepole he played anyway. So I could use them and try to get more games in.
So i decided to take some pictures of them.

    Hope you liked it.
