That's a clever use of very different kits to make a Goth.

Belated thanks. I'm not really finishing stuff at the moment, I've got almost 30 models on the painting table in various degrees of readiness. Still, I was inspired by sigur and built a cart for use as a objective or terrain.

Oh that will be handy in all kinds of periods.

Here's a suggestion for some cheap archer conversions, using Roman auxilia heads I'd not otherwise use. Does anything immediately jump out at you as not fitting? Oh yeah, I don't suggest painting them green.

That un-converted miniature on the right is the most poorly-cast piece of junk I've seen in Y-E-A-R-S, and I'm including re-casts in this!!

My apologies; I was under the impression those figures were bought. The rest of the figure isn't bad, but just thinking about a man with that distorted a neck gives me nightmares.....

It is? Well your post where one is converted with a Roman Auxilia head is so bloody vague, I thought it was a badly cast human......

I've finished a bunch of minis for my Goths. As usual it's mainly a mix of plastics from Warlord Games and Gripping Beast, but also homecast stuff and conversions.

Small unit of javelin armed skirmishers:

One unarmoured base and two armoured dudes.

I finished the blonde and could thus finish the archer unit.

I would prefer my melee infantry at least, to be somewhat armoured, but I guess this goes against the character of the Gothic army, apart from the Nobles....?

Most of my melee infantry is armoured, but that's probably a bit ahistorical, they probably often had less armour than I've given them.

I've finally finished the cavalry that's been sitting on my painting table for months now. First we have some Sarmatian cataphracts:

Then we have some more generic Gothic cavalry, it's three blisters of Carolingian, late Roman and Gothic heavy cav:

Lastly we have a guy that won't join my army any time soon, but he looked so cool I might include him in a fantasy warband of some sort.

Looks like we have the beginnings of a Frostgrave warband.

    Thanks.

Finished some slingers for my Goth army, plus an extra archer that slipped through (he's converted by Lord Dan).
Gripping Beast's Dark Age Warrior plastics.

    Thanks Engel.
Here comes the first of my late Romans (from the new Gripping Beast plastics). These are (part of) the legiones comitatenses Prima Flavia Constantia, originally recruited in Egypt and stationed along the Danube frontier.
