Old school will always win! Awesome colours. Your Imperial Fist looks awesome too! Yellow is difficult. Job well done!

Thanks Daniel, I've been a Dwarf lover since heroquest. My psychiatrist assures me this will pass.

Sir Seymour Panties a mighty knight of the realm. The rumors about secret Slaanesh worship are completely unfounded.

The dragon has a base coat so far so well on schedule.

Got another dwarf finished! Just over a month since my last post but I have been doing other stuff which I hope to finish soon. The dragon still sits unloved in a cupboard. Thanks for looking, I will try to post more often.

That is a great old school dwarf.

Back when they had real beards, and square bases, and so on!

Hi all. Been a busy couple of months but I finally got something finished. Thanks for the complements and Hobbes coming back is a great feeling. Nice to have a way to unwind that also leaves you with a little accomplishment something drink and computers are lacking. Will you be painting up old or new minis? So where have I been all this time. Well apart from the usual work and home life I had to sit an exam, first one in 20 years. I have some half started minis scattered about which I will finish at some point but due to the holidays starting tomorrow (ish its 1AM I'm working nights) I had a big push to get something done and posted. Thanks for looking and hope you all have a good summer.

    RUN! GET TO THE CHOPPER!

I painted a predator. Its the biggest thing I've done so far and I learned a couple of lessons from it. First use spray cans for big stuff I could have saved so much time and effort. Second citadel base pants suck. I'm sure better painters can get great results with them but there not for me. Thanks for looking now its time to pack for my holidays .

I like that you did interior detailing. Not sure I'd be comfortable riding in a driver's compartment with a nuclear warning label on the door though...

I'll be doing a mix of old minis and new ones. In recent years I have gotten into board games and a few of the games I have have minis. I also picked up the start collecting Skitarii box and the Mk iii Circle of Orboros starter box.

As for old minis I have a bunch of LotR figures that are started or undercoated. A few finished which I will post when I start my own plog. Also have some high elves and eldar that are started or in need of a repaint. Finally have some chaos and eldar bfg ships that need repair and a better paint job

    Re: Learning to paint again

Welcome back Warseer, I missed you.

Lucky being slow at painting and busy in life I never got too much done in the time the website was down so should be easy to get back up to date.

First up some Dwarfs which I tried using a gray under coat instead of black. It looked good at the time but now I think they lack definition.

And a skaven I painted up while on holiday. During the holiday I also got engaged in the great hall of a ruined castle in the middle of a loch.

    Some new school.

    And some old school.

Not much for the time warseer was down and I think my painting got worse from lack of practice. I will be trying to get more painting time snuck in this year which might be hard due to starting at a new(ish) job on Monday, year two of a three year course and my now pregnant fiancee eating away at my time (and total warhammer). My camera work is getting better but still needs improvement.

Thanks for looking in I'm off to paint an orc.

These are Hobbits. They were a nightmare to paint and took ages.

This is an Orc, painting it was a joy and took a couple of mornings.

Thanks I'm trying to achieve a more realistic style with my painting and I think I'm getting there. Also found an easy way to paint red eyes, paint them white then use GW's yellow wash.

    Re: Learning to paint again

My first mini of 2017 is one of my favorite ever made, St George from the traveling players range. Turned out nice although the wood is not quite how I would like it. I already have alot of foundry paints so might have to invest in the spear shaft set they worked out great for tcmainprize. Also thanks for the image hosting advice facebook people. Anyway here is St George, Enjoy!

We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow.

    The hammer of the gods
Will drive our ships to new lands
To fight the horde, singing and crying:
    Valhalla, I am coming!

I painted a viking. Fun little guy to paint. I really need to work on painting capes and the like this one took two attempts to do.

    Up next Blood Bowl!
